In 2015 my father and I were watching and discussing the news together. As things often do when discussing politics and the future of the world, our discussion turned to debate and became heated. Towards the end of our discussion, my father turned to me and said, “What are you going to do about it?” I most likely gave him a blank stare, as I had never thought about it before. He continued by askin

g again, “What are you going to do about all of this? You’re clearly not happy with the way things are going. This is your time. Who’s going to do something about the direction of the world and it’s future if it’s not you?”

I spent the next several months thinking about that question at least a few times a day. I discussed it with friends and family, and we all agreed the world is not going in the direction we want it to. We can’t change everything we want to, but those who don’t try to change the world have no right to complain about it.
