On #TheUpdate today, we talked about the latest developments on the coronavirus, including that for several days, CUNY students have been petitioning and calling for campuses to close because of the fears. Their arguments got a major boost when a student at John Jay College contracted the virus over the weekend, and CUNY closed the school as a result. On yesterday's show (and for a while), i've been saying that it's not a matter of if CUNY will close, but it's a matter of when, for how long, and if they'll finally give in to the public pressure. They may have just gotten their wish. We still have to wait for the CUNY chancellor to release a statement along with the other Presidents of the colleges and universities, but for now, here's what we know.
