"5th month celebration at the hospital"

It's almost a month since she contracted Pneumonia and was confined last February 16. Thank God that He gave her more strength to overcome her illness and eventually celebrate her 5th month since she was born, while still at the hospital. This only shows that with Him, there are no obstacles that we can't overcome. Chaya also did her best to overcome it. We are very proud of how strong she is. Kaya nga, "Chaya" nya lahat. 💪💪💪

This is how vulnerable all babies with Biliary Atresia are. We pray that all of them wouldn't have to go through another health burden and will be safe all the time. Thanks to her doctors and nurses at that time. She also wouldn't get through it without you.

AWARENESS POST...

Just to remind you, this does not meant to keep anyone from asking for help from everybody. But this morning, we found out that another had copied the caption of our post for Chaya which has been originally composed by her mother. Thanks to our love ones who have always been vigilant and immediately notified us. Though some parts were edited but it is obvious that it's been copied and used for asking assistance from others..

Eto po ay di man malaking issue pero magiging malaking pagkalito ito sa ibang makakabasa dahil una, magkakaroon sila ng katanungan kung bakit pareho ang mga nakasaad. Pangalawa, may tendency po na mag-isip ang karamihan na baka ang isa sa mga post ay scam dahil sa pagkakahawig po nito. At huli, maaari pong magdalawang isip na tumulong ang makakabasa at nais tumulong dahil dito. Samakatuwid po ay huwag po nating hayaan ang ating sarili na kumopya. Bagkus kung nahihirapan po na gumawa ng caption para sa mga postings natin ay huwag pong magdalawang isip na humingi ng tulong sa iba para maiwasan po ang mga ganitong pagkakataon. Muli ito po ay para lamang sa kaalaman ng nakararami at sa mga makababasa po nito. Maraming salamat po.

'I got my PWD ID!!!'

PWD ID for someone who's a rare disease???

Yes, that's right! As per Republic Act No. 10747 or the Rare Disease Act of the Philippines, states that "People with rare disease shall be considered as persons with disabilities with the rights and privileges granted by the Magna Carta for Persons with Disabilities." Also reiterated in Memorandum Circular No. 2022-017 issued by DILG, NCDA and DOH, the inclusion of cancer and rare diseases a type of disability to ensure the adequate care and support for patients and survivors of cancers and rare diseases.

Hello everyone! I’m Chaya Primrose D. Basco. You can call me Chaya. It is pronounced as “Kaya”. That’s why my Mama and Papa decided to name my page “Chaya ko ‘to” kasi Kaya ko ‘tong laban na ‘to.

And here is my story…

I was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, a rare liver disease. I have undergone a Kasai Procedure last December 13, 2023, it is only a temporary treatment. Thanks to all the people who helped me through. Yet still, my liver is in need of help because it is slowly deteriorating. I don’t know when my liver will totally fail. Liver transplant is the only way to help me live longer. The transplant would cost 2 million but my mama and papa can only support our daily expenses.

So I am knocking on your good hearts, humbly requesting for financial support to help my liver transplant operation be made possible. Any amount, big or small, will be very much appreciated. Your contribution will make a significant impact in my life and will be truly grateful. More importantly, please, also include me in your prayers to get me through this battle.
