**🚨🚗 Update on Recent Discovery 🚗🚨

On Sunday, August 4, 2024, a fisherman using sonar made a surprising discovery off Wetzel Rd. in Liverpool. The sonar detected what turned out to be a submerged pickup truck, which has since been identified as a 1977 Dodge Ramcharger.

📍 Location: Wetzel Rd., Liverpool
🚘 Vehicle: 1977 Dodge Ramcharger
🗓️ Reported Stolen: October 10, 1981
🔍 Condition: The truck is in 20 feet of water, severely deteriorated, and sunken in the mud. There were no occupants inside.

The Sheriff’s Office, the Navigation Unit, and the Dive Team responded to the scene. Evidence has been collected and is currently being examined. The truck was reported stolen to the Town of Clay Police Department over 40 years ago.

We continue our investigation and will provide updates as more information becomes available.

💙👮💙 ~ On May 1, 2017, Officer Dylan "Junior" Sylvester was hired as a full-time Police Officer with the City of Flagler Beach. Over the past seven plus (7+) years of service, Dylan has been the model of consistency, hard work, tenacity and professionalism. Today is a sad, but proud day for our agency, as this is Dylan's last working day with the Flagler Beach Police Department. Dylan has accepted a Federal Law Enforcement position that begins is August, and we will miss him dearly.

We're extremely happy and excited for Dylan and his family as they move on to the next chapter of their lives, and we wish the Sylvester family health, happiness and prosperity in the future.. Dylan is moving on to an exciting career as a Federal Agent, and we're proud that he chose to start his Law Enforcement career here in Flagler Beach.

Dylan is a Graduate of the Basic Law Enforcement Academy at Daytona State College, and he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with a focus in Homeland Security & Counter Terrorism from Southern New Hampshire University. Dylan was a "Sniper" on the Flagler County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) "SWAT Team" and he assisted in the successful serving of numerous high risk search warrants with the FCSO SWAT Team. Dylan will always be a part of the FBPD Family, and we'd like to sincerely "Thank him for his service", and he knows that he will be sorely missed by all of us here at FBPD. Good 🍀 "Agent Junior"...
