Loneliness can look and feel different to different people. For some, loneliness is not feeling understood, feeling alone even in a crowd of people, or being physically distant and completely isolated, especially in the time of COVID-19. This concept features individual stories of loneliness and how each person found comfort in connection.
There are no sides, there is no material to prepare.

We are looking for you to share your real life experiences with loneliness stemming from the Covi-19 pandemic. Please also share if and how you may have helped someone manage their loneliness.

Record on your phone up to 1 minute, your experience with loneliness.

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Write marketing copy and press releases and work with graphic designer to develop and sign off on marketing collateral such as posters, website graphics, slideshows, etc.

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS QUALIFICATIONS:

You have professional marketing experience for artists, non-profits, and/or other organizations.
You are a strong writer with exceptional copywriting skills.
You are extremely detail-oriented.
You take initiative and enjoy collaboration.
You understand Filmshop—its mission, its values, its culture—and are committed to nurturing our community.

LOCATION - Remote workers welcome; New York City, New Orleans, and/or Los Angeles ties beneficial.

Micah Stuurman: male, 29 years old, South African Xhosa native tongue, speaks in a warm, soft and flexible voice — with an accented tone of voice. He keeps fit, but physical appearance is not too imposing. A friendly demeanor about him. Introverted. People-pleaser. Naïve sometimes. Creative with his style. He switches up his look often - afro-like hair or cuts a fade sometimes, and faded beard from time to time. He could pass for a much older guy.
Zweli Stuurman: male, 58 years old, South African Xhosa native tongue. He’s a politician/police Director. No hair. He wears glasses. Good posture. Slow and steady strides when he walks. He has a fair amount of marks on his body. Extroverted. Detached. He's mostly resigned in his middle age, but gets militant at times. He has a gruff voice, also speaks in an accented tone — more so than Micah. His English speech / vocabulary is formal. There will be a callback session on Dec. 14.
