The longest kiss in recorded history lasted 58 hours, 35 minutes, and 58 seconds. It was achieved by Ekkachai and Laksana Tiranarat of Thailand in 2013. The couple kissed continuously for over two and a half days, breaking the previous record by over 20 hours.

The Tiranarats' kiss was part of a Valentine's Day contest organized by a local shopping mall. The couple said they were motivated to participate because they wanted to show their love for each other and to set a new world record.

The kiss was not without its challenges. At one point, Ekkachai's lips started to bleed, and Laksana's legs began to swell. But the couple persevered, and eventually they achieved their goal.

The Tiranarats' kiss is a reminder that love can conquer all. It is also a testament to the human spirit and our ability to endure even the most challenging of tasks.
