Hi! My name is Feena. I was born with Down Syndrome which means there's extra chromosome 21 in every cell of my body. It's considered disability.

But I believe in what the Bible says that I AM FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE BY GOD (Psalm 139:14).

I can't help but shed tears of joy seeing Our Dear Feena slowly developing her psychomotor skills. The still small voice of God is impressing on me, "I got this. She is fearfully and wonderfully made. I have created her inmost being, I have knitted her inside Mayeng's womb. I know what I am doing. She is created for a purpose, just like everyone else. She has no disability, she's just differently abled." Truly, oh God, you are the Mighty Creator of the heavens and the earth. In you is the true meaning of life because YOU are the source of LIFE.

The fight for us parents, to have our babies with Down Syndrome become better in all regards, is difficult and often painstaking. But if we TRUST the LORD, He will surely fight for us and we will have victory. We trust God by first trusting in Jesus. His death on the cross saves us from our sins. His resurrection after three days gives us assures us that we also have eternal life in Him. Believe in these things by faith and TRUST GOD for our babies. We will have VICTORY because GOD is fighting for us! !

Happy 9 months, Our Dear Feena. Slowly, God is steering you to right where you need to be, Anak. At 9 months, you have accomplished so much and we are so proud of you, our Princess! Though you are challenged by your 'thorn in the flesh' (Down Syndrome), the Lord's goodness and mercy are surely following you.

Psalm 23:6a -- "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me

Today, 3.21, is WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY. It is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by UN since 2012. This is our lovely daughter, Feena. She has Down Syndrome. We want to spread awareness to all that people with Down Syndrome, despite having varying degrees of intellectual and physical disabilities and associated medical issues, are lovely people and have their own unique ways to communicate love and affection. They are no different people. Like everyone else, they are also fearfully and wonderfully made by God - created in God's image. 2024's theme is "End Stereotypes." Praise Testimony.

When Feena was born, she had fluid in both of her middle ears and she failed her hearing test on both ears. The Doctor said that we will wait for another three months to repeat the test. If the fluid is still there then they need to do a surgery to dry up the ears. If her hearing problem worsens then the option is for her to use hearing aid.

We spent the whole waiting months before her next test in prayers. Everyday, we asked for God's mercy and grace to heal Feena and dry up the ears. We didn't want another surgery on her as she just had her heart surgery at only 2 months old.

Yesterday, her hearing test was repeated. Praise God! The fluid has dried up in both ears and the right ear is completely healed. The left ear has some minor issue on low frequency sound but it could still hear as normal and there is nothing to be done. When Feena gets bigger they would just do another audio test for left ear but Doctor said that there is no precutionary measures needed.

God, you are indeed our Healer and Mighty Deliverer. All praise to you, oh Jesus Christ, out Saviour and Lord. Amen.

If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:

You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.
The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him.

From the time we learned that Feena had high risk of having Down Syndrome when she was only 3 months old in the womb, right there and then the Lord had shown us that we need to fully humble ourselves before Him and submit to His wisdom (even if it is hard to fully grasp) and to fully trust in His promises and faithfulness. When we are facing the most difficult challenge in our lives, we can let God take control of the situation. His ways are higher than our ways. Jesus offers to give us life and we can live it to the fullest; not by material and physical things of this world, but in the fullness of our spiritual blessing and having this blessed hope of sharing Jesus's glory in our glorified body in heaven.
