A big thank you to Bookouture, NetGalley, and Wendy Clarke for the ARC!

Just finished this book, and I'm kinda torn. On one hand, the story had me hooked right away. It was a real page-turner, and I flew through it quicker than usual. But, gotta be honest, the writing style wasn't really my thing. It sometimes felt like slam poetry, which didn't click with me.

Still, the suspense kept me on edge, and the twist revealing the culprit totally blindsided me. It was unexpected, but left me scratching my head a bit.

One thing I did like about the writing style though was how the author dropped subtle hints about future events. It added some intrigue without getting too detailed.

Overall, it's a solid psychological thriller, even if it didn't hit all the right notes for me. Keep an eye out for its release on March 14th 2024!

📚BOOK REVIEW📚
Rating: 3.25/5 ⭐

This book was a whirlwind! I breezed through it in just two days. The writing was easy to follow, with lots of humor that kept me entertained.

But, there were times when I felt like I was just skimming over paragraphs, missing out on deeper connections with the characters. Olive and Ethan were well-written, but they didn't quite win me over.

Overall, it's a nice, light read, perfect for someone dipping their toes into romance novels.

📚BOOK REVIEW 📚

I can't even put my feelings into words. This book made me feel happy, sad and made me cry. That's a big sign of a 5 star read. The writing helped me connect to the characters and I was lost into the story for days. Evelyn Hugo is just that, a very flawed person. And yes, she is a bad person, but I will commend her sticking up to who she truly is. Including the book into the story itself was lovely and I bet if it was real, it would be a best-seller. It's a must read, but be advised, have a tissue box ready.

📚BOOK REVIEW 📚

Guys, this book? It's a hard pass from me.

I gotta be real, I was pretty annoyed the entire time I was reading it, you know? Almost got those "want to throw it across the room" vibes. Started off with high hopes, thinking, "Okay, maybe it gets better," but nope, just left me feeling kind of let down.

Evangeline, oh my days. She had me eye-rolling so hard. Her character was all over the place, trying to be all sweet and righteous, but honestly, I couldn't take it. Like, how am I supposed to enjoy a book when the main character is getting on my last nerve?

Then there's Jacks, supposedly the prince of hearts. He was giving off those classic Wattpad bad boy vibes, and it wasn't really my jam. His character, intentionally annoying as it may be, added a layer I couldn't quite get into. Handling two uninteresting characters at once? Bit of a struggle.

Was I supposed to pick up any tension between these two? 'Cause if it was there, I must've missed the memo.

This was my first dive into fantasy reading, and I'm feeling a tad regretful about it. Spent some quality time trying to grasp the hype, but while the plot showed promise, the characters didn't quite hit the mark for me.
