Dark & Stormy is a brand new UK crime festival, serving up a wicked selection of book, film, music & theatre events. We launch in May 2014, in partnership with Brighton Festival, Brighton Fringe, and Picturehouse Cinemas. Our aim is to appeal, not only to the legions of readers who keep crime writers at the top of the bestseller lists, but to the huge audiences who flock to Breaking Bad on TV, Kic
k Ass at the cinema, Grand Theft Auto on their PlayStations, and Emil and the Detectives in the West End. Our May 2014 launch weekend is packed with incredible authors, screenwriters, actors, directors & musicians, in a variety of discussions, interviews, screenings & performances at Brighton’s best and biggest venues. And from 2015 onwards, we’ll also be programming an even wider variety of events, adding thrilling new voices and rising stars to the mix.
