As part of the Auckland wide Heritage Festival, The University of Auckland's School of Architecture and Auckland Council are collaborating on the eve

nt Here Now: Re-imagining New Lynn. For this event 120 architecture students will design and fabricate installations to activate the centre of New Lynn, recalling this suburb's rich cultural, social and industrial heritage as well as imagining its future. Over four days in October (Thursday the 10th - Sunday the 13th October) visitors will be able to self-navigate a trail from the New Lynn Station to the Titirangi Road intersection, discovering imaginative large scale temporary installations. The idea is to use this event to activate New Lynn bringing this area to life, filling empty shops and public space and capturing the public's imagination with the use of sound, light, projection and social media.
