In 2019 I sold my guitar for $20 to the first stranger on Facebook marketplace. This was my promise to myself that I would make my business work. And until then, none of my hobbies mattered.

I spent nearly a full year without doing anything for fun, working two jobs (and at one point 3), and trying to build something for myself.

Once I was able to quit my job and go all in on my business, the busyness of life took over and I lost my identity completely.

Talk to May and May became one.

Until 2024.

When I took a month off to stay with my family.

When I gave away all my painting supplies because after 5 years, I no longer want to paint.

And until today, when I finally bought a guitar again.

Not for $20 but for $300.
And I paid that price happily knowing that my sacrifice gave me many more $300’s than I could ever have dreamed of, on top of a life I get to enjoy.

This isn’t a sad story.
This isn’t about money.

It’s about looking back and being okay with yourself because you chose your own path.

You took control and decided what life you wanted to live rather than letting life happen to you.

So today is a great day.
And I wanted to celebrate it with you ❤️

Listen team, I am not telling you to remove tips from your content - they are important.
But trying to sell from a bullet point list is not enough.

You need to hit the mark on the other aspects we gave you above.

This is why I love long-form content.

Because I get to share real knowledge (which gives reach and nurture at the same time) while positioning myself as an authority.

I enjoy sharing educational content, but that alone isn't enough to build a powerful social media presence unless you have a solid lead gen strategy and do the nurture elsewhere.

There's a running joke in my family that I've done every single profession on Earth. I don't think I'm quite there yet but for sure my "portfolio" is quite diverse.

Funny thing is? I wouldn't change a thing.
Every one of these professions has taught me so much and I truly believe I have gotten this far BECAUSE of my crazy past.

Not despite it.

It was BECAUSE of my time as a teacher that I now explain things extremely well.
It was BECAUSE of my time as a carer that I know how to be empathetic at all times.
It was BECAUSE of my time as an engineer that I know how to be structured and precise.
It was BECAUSE of my time as a technical marketing person that I know how to translate information about offers into something that people genuinely care about.

The list goes on, but I am what I am today because of all I've done.
And I'm pretty sure that you are too.

Today I’m celebrating in Pisa ❤️

This was the very first time, after more than 20 launches in my 4 years in business, that I managed to launch a program without being 24/7 in front of the computer. I managed to delegate more, trust people more, and hire really incredible business owners to work with me to make this happen.

But as you can see this didn’t happen overnight.
I didn’t wake up one day and hired a full team.
I didn’t jump out of bed and magically learned how to delegate.

And to be honest, I’m still learning.

But progress requires action.

So today, I’m not just celebrating my own progress, but I am celebrating the action of every single one of my students. The ones who are joining The 24h Profitable Profile Method (pictures above!), but also those who have joined SISS, Master of Carousels, Reachability, or quite literally any of my courses, and of course, all of my beautiful 1:1 clients! ❤️

A big cheers to all of you 🥂

Instagram has just released a statement saying that the “relevance” of an account is shown by their engagement rate (likes, comments, shares) and not their follower count.

This is nothing new, and a great metric to track for marketing purposes and the longevity of your account.

The problem here is that instagram has never had to run a small business online. 🤗

All they care about is how relevant you are to keep people in the platform longer 😏

And if you are a business owner:

➡️ There are times when you have to sacrifice likes and comments to make a sale, to post a testimonial, or to say that doors are closing. This doesn’t make you less relevant.

➡️ There are times when you’ll be paid by another company to promote something, and no matter how good you are at making it fun, it will hurt your reach.

➡️ And damn, there are times when you just can’t give your best because you are not feeling good, and you may be the entire marketing team 🤡

None of those things make you less relevant.

Remember to keep track of your metrics based on your goals, and over a long period of time. ❤️

Don’t sacrifice your sales to become “relevant” to the wrong audience.

Remember team, if you want to thrive, you need 2 things:

Traffic and sales.

- Traffic guarantees future sales (with a good funnel)
- Sales keep your business having good results

That cucumber face will go down to history (yes, that's me).

What changed from cucumber face... to recent me?

I learned how to use Instagram stories strategically in a way that boosts my leadership, builds a community around my brand, and makes me consistent sales.

And it was f*cking hard.
