Hi, folks! We're only days from launching our final season of Moonbase Theta, Out - so it seemed like a good time to do another intro to the show! “Broadcasting … This is Roger Bragado-Fischer, Communications, Moonbase Theta” - Moonbase Theta, Out is a q***r, emotional sci-fi audio drama that launched in November 2018, and is about to begin its fourth and final season!

It is 2098. The Moonbase program has been determined unprofitable. The last base, Theta, is twenty weeks from being decommissioned. Most of the crew is in stasis awaiting retrieval. Five remain – Roger Bragado-Fischer, Nessa Cheong, Ashwini Ray, Michell L’Anglois, and Wilder. Join the crew of Moonbase Theta as they reach out to share the beauty, the isolation and frustration, the love and enmity, the humour, and the tragedy, as all count down to the operation’s end.
MTO begins in Season 1 as a single-voice show, from the point of view of Roger Bragado-Fischer, the communications officer on Moonbase Theta, counting down the weeks until all operations cease and all personnel enter stasis awaiting recovery. In Season 2, we hear the same story again, but from a host of other characters - the remaining crew left awake during the shutdown and Alexandre, Roger's husband left waiting back on Earth (with Cas and Pol, their dogs!) for a long-delayed reunion. Seasons 3 (and now 4) move into an expansive and active story with a full cast on Earth and the Moon, tracing what happens next as a few folks on both ends try to push back against the megacorporations and find connections during the revolution.

It's a big, hopeful story featuring q***r characters, ethnically diverse characters, disabled and neurodivergent characters, and those from other marginalized groups in strong, positive, enduring roles.
