The holidays are here and with the cost of just breathing being expensive it may look different in your household this year. Here are a few tips I’ve found for making them special for people with kids:
1. Shop around: the first place you find something might not always be the best price.
2. Stacking: stack coupons, deals, everyday steals to get the most bang for your buck especially when it comes to clothes.
3. Create a wishlist: creating a wishlist or note the you can share with family so they know what your kids are into these days.
4. Sharing is caring: have kids around the same age or with similar interest? Buy a big gift they can share.
5. Keep it simple: yes kids ask for the world and we want to give it to them but feeling safe and loved in their home is also a prize.

I hope this helps anyone feeling the strain of the holidays. I know I say it a lot but never feel like you’re alone, we’re all out here just trying to do our best.

Escaping into the world of imagination is always cause for celebration.

I always get the kids a new book for Christmas and fun y enough one year I forgot. It was me at 11pm two days before Christmas in trying to find the perfect book to put under the tree. I found it Christmas was saved and the kids none the wiser.

Happy Holidays from the tail end of the freedom cruise ship!

It took over a year or planning and saving and organizing but my mom brought us together for a family cruise right before Christmas and it was soo needed.
I can’t pretend this last year has been rainbows and butterflies but I can tell you my village has rallied and I’m so grateful for each and every one of them.
If you find yourself starting over, feeling down, struggling, or just trying to make it day by day just know this is a pretty photo and you probably see a million pretty photos a day, doesn’t mean they aren’t struggling too.

After the heaviest showers comes the most beautiful flowers.

We did it! 1 year since I closed on our townhome, we moved clear across town, we started over as a family of 3.
I know I am luckier than most with a support system out of this world but just know you are not alone. Starting over is hard, letting go of what you thought your life should be even harder, but your families happiness, and feeling safe and secure is worth it every time. You got this!

Heading back to school means getting back into a routine and we’ve added to that every morning while getting pumped up for the day. The curling cream and mousse help revitalize our curls and get us ready for the day. The products are light and don’t leave my son hair feeling sticky or hard which is a plus for his sensory overload.

Just giving you a reminder just because your visiting a theme park doesn’t mean you have to stay on property! I love the app when I want to plan a quick trip and earn some points it finds me hotels in my budget and close to where I need to be.
Literally everything is expensive, finding ways to still enjoy the finer things and have fun is always my goal. If they have a pool… bonus!

Summer is for movie lovers. Idk guys every time we go to the movies we leave with a list of new movies we can’t wait to see next and in this economy 😮‍💨
Here are two tips on how we plan movie days with
1. Become an amc stubhub member. Saves on convenience fees and free upgrades on concession food.
2. Go early! Many times tickets before noon are discounted and during the week.
Also don’t forget a light jacket or sweater it can get chilly sometimes 🙂
