💃❤️ This one’s for the girls! ❤️🐦‍⬛ We’ve been “Raven” about our girls’ night out ever since Tuesday!

We started our Galentine’s Day outing with a pot-your-own-plant experience downtown at Mason Jar Plant Shop. We got to explore their shop, where we were matched with a plant based on our lifestyle and sent home with care instructions. Thankfully, Haley chose a plant from the pet-friendly section because her cat already tried eating it, and I chose a drought-resistant one because my home office looked like a plant graveyard before. They’re lovely matchmakers over there at MJ! 😅😂

We ended the evening at Comensoli's Italian Bistro & Bar, where we enjoyed some of the best authentic Italian food this area has to offer! From Marsala and Chicken Polenta to cannolis and tiramisu, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. 🍷🍝

We’re thrilled to introduce Haleigh, our incredible Account Manager of Digital for the Elkhart/Michiana market!

I first met Haleigh at one of my networking events back in 2022. Even though she was representing a competitor at the time, her magnetic personality made an unforgettable impression. I just knew she was someone destined to play a bigger role in my life—and, lucky for us, in Slick Raven’s future. Fast forward a couple of years, and the stars aligned. Though I had just filled a position in her market a few days prior, when someone as driven, passionate, and hardworking as Haleigh comes along, you simply don’t let them walk away.

Haleigh brought with her a wealth of experience in sales and business marketing and hit the ground running, excelling in client acquisition. In fact, she earned the title of Slick Raven’s highest-commissioned team member in 2024 for her outstanding effort in bringing on new accounts.

She’s the perfect mix of tenacious and gracious, with a relentless drive to help businesses succeed. Her talent for creating short-form videos, discovering clever trending ideas for our clients, and delivering exceptional lead-generation results—especially for her wedding venue client—has been nothing short of impressive in such a short time.

Yeahhhh, we’ve been a little quiet lately, but for good reason! The last few weeks have been a whirlwind for us. Between me being on the mend, the girls onboarding new clients, navigating the holidays, and prepping for a big proposal deadline on January 7th, our team has been hustling.

📸 Before and After: From brainstorming and scribbling notes in my hospital bed to a hand delivery by Delaney, we officially hit the deadline and submitted our proposal for Downtown Kalamazoo’s marketing and promotions RFP. It’s out there now—fingers crossed!

Through it all, one thing has become Krystal clear: I have a solid team. These ladies have my back, no matter what, and jumped in without hesitation to make things happen. Not only are they little baddies at work, but I’m also so grateful for the working relationship we’ve built.

From surviving a disastrous kayak trip this summer (fireball helped) to gathering around my Christmas tree and painting abstract portraits of each other while laughing hysterically, this team knows how to work hard and have fun. We’ve shared life moments, supported one another, and grown into this little work fam—and I absolutely love it.

Thank you, ladies, for everything you do and for being way too legit. Now let’s kick ass, take names, and make this year amazing. Love youuuu! ("HR!"😂)

On NYE, my Click Captain, Heather, and I had a great time on set for client photos down in Indiana. I even got to model and try out a much-needed service I’ve been curious about and left with some awesome lip plumper. Take your vitamins, y’all—there’s a ton of viral yuck going around! Or simply head down to NPS Wellness in Elkhart and see Stephanie for an immune-boosting IV therapy.

What a busy and exciting day for some of the Ravens yesterday! Krystal, Delaney, and Haley had a wonderful time attending the Kalamazoo Women2Women event as first-time guests. Although we missed the group photo (and Krystal isn't the biggest fan of selfies), we couldn’t resist capturing a moment—because, you know, pics or it didn’t happen! We’re already looking forward to the next W2W event in January. Thank you for welcoming us!

Next on the agenda was a fun photo session at Pinspiration Kalamazoo, where everyone stepped in as “extras” to craft some amazing projects. Stay tuned—you might spot a few of those photos popping up in your feed soon! 😉

To round out the day, Krystal headed to Timberly Tree Farms for the Sturgis Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event. What an incredible turnout! We met so many amazing people, and we’re thrilled to announce that Slick Raven submitted our official membership request to join the Chamber.

Ladies' Night Out - Marketing Team Edition! Most of the Slick Raven crew had a fun evening networking at the Southwest Michigan First Chamber Connect followed by a top notch dinner at Bird Dog. And yes, it was worth the drive 😆🦪🍖🍰

Last week I got a call on Wednesday evening from a potential client out of South Haven who asked if we could onboard her business that Friday. My response was, "Heckkk yeah!" I immediately sent a group text to my ravens: "Drop everything you're doing Friday; we're taking a group trip to SoHa with Jane!" Our team had a blast at Oasis by Belle Facce making trucker hats, getting hair tinsel, making lip glosses and browsing the boutique. We followed up with a much needed riverfront celebration at Admiral Jack's. Not only did we cheers🍹🍹 to a great wrap up to the work week, it was also Jane's birthday, and she got to be our little model for the photo shoot and dine with the big girls. Thank you, Ami, for hosting our crew and for your business. We're looking forward to working with you!

CAWWW! 🐦‍ Team Slick Raven had an absolute blast at their 1st golf outing! We scooped up a t-box sponsorship for the @Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kalamazoo where golfers participated in a little trivia with the hope of gaining additional prize entries and winning some Slick Raven branded swag. Slick Raven had a fantastic time at the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce Connect after hours at the Potawatomi Zoo on Tuesday. Krystal got to do all the typical old-school zoo adventures and experience the debut of their brand new concession lodge, which is available to rent for private parties, too. I think it’s safe to say she enjoyed her first Elkhart Chamber Connect After Hours!
