Legens Publishing Legens Publishing is a book publishing company, we publish printed books and eBooks Legens Publishing was recently awarded a $5,000 government grant.

Legens is a newly-established book publishing company and interactive children’s website, www.solamae.com, which was designed to promote a series of children’s books under the general title, The Little Mouse Solamae. Over its lifetime, Legens Publishing plans to establish a foundation for needy children in which the children will have a hand in the operation of the business. We aspire to create a

repertory acting/performing company designed to entertain as well as to educate children to pursue spiritual and personal growth as they deal with the challenges of growing up. We encourage children of all ages to submit their poems and artwork for display on the Solamae website and for possible publication in future volumes of The Little Mouse Solamae series. The hands-on opportunity to learn marketing and promotion by earning a seat on the "Chalkboard of Directors" of the company far exceeds the conventional textbook approach. Legens publishing will involve and nurture needy children, guiding them to believe in themselves and to pursue their dreams, while grooming them for their future careers. We will give children the opportunity to learn the basics of marketing and promotion, business skills, and virtual teamwork as they strategize and communicate with each other via the Internet. We will offer youth a wholesome outlet for their imaginations and an opportunity to utilize critical thinking skills. We will provide a theoretical base on which to ground the practical experience they will gain. The funds will be used for current and future promotional and marketing plans, to make the website more educational and interactive, to offer children a club membership and an opportunity to learn the basics of marketing and promotion by serving on the “Chalkboard of Directors” of the company. The grant was offered by Miami-Dade Community Action Agency as a Micro Enterprise Grant.
