.india.nc is the oldest Indian restaurant in Raleigh, NC, offering vegetarian, meat, and vegan dishes. Royal India has won numerous awards for their dining and catering services. Royal India prepares many dishes in a traditional Indian clay-oven called Tandoor, which include tandoori meat and vegetable dishes, Naan breads, and more! People can taste a wide-selection of dishes through Royal India's lunch platters offered Mondays - Saturdays.

Description of dishes we tried:

Butter Chicken: Boneless Tandoori chicken cooked in a rich creamy sauce with fresh tomato and a combination of delicate spices.

Chicken Curry: A very traditional poultry dish prepared in a spicy curry sauce of ground onions, garlic, ginger, tomatoes and other seasonings.

Palak Paneer: Fresh homemade cheese cooked in a creamy spinach sauce.

Gulab Jamun: Reduced milk balls served in rose flavored sugar syrup and cardamon.

Additional popular dishes include:

Goat Masala: Baby goat meat cooked in a traditional North Indian style with onions and tomatoes.

Daal Makhani: Simmered black lentils and red kidney beans sautéed with tomatoes, ginger, cumin, onions and fresh garlic.

Regarding the victim of the recent major crime in Cary...

Her name was Cecily Ann Walker. She was 34 years old, and weeks away from celebrating her 35th.

I'm posting her photo here, because the media hasn't. If you Google her (which I know I'm not the only person to do), your first impression of her will likely be a mug shot tied to a misdemeanor crime. I don't know the rest of her record, but I'm not here to question the decisions she's made in life. I do know her mug shot shows this is not the first time she's been the victim of physical violence.

The news articles share her name and nothing more. They don't share anything about her, that I've seen. Which is a shame, because they've even taken the time to reach out to the ex spouse of the man charged with disposing of her in the most brutal of ways. I feel like if she was a middle class, married women with a squeaky clean record her story would be everywhere. Instead, we just read her name.

I didn't know her, but given the details it was important that I see a normal photo of her. She was someone's daughter. A mother of two children. A widow. A waitress. She enjoyed the outdoors.

Her name was Cecily Ann Walker. I'm saddened for her and her family, but thankful she will never be physically harmed by someone again.

Lastly - this group occasionally sees posts of people "speaking up" instead of "minding their own business". I hope the neighbor who called about the illegal burn is on this group because to them I'd like to say, thank you for not minding your own business and making that call.

“This weekend was a hard one for me. I was 19 floors up watching the parade from Birdseye view when I watched chaos unfold at the tragedy. I wish I could unsee so much of what was a horrible event. When you’re a parent things just hit you different. The coffee shop I work at is right in view of where everything occurred. Sooooo close to our shop. I did something I never thought I’d ever have to or imagine doing. I started a memorial on Hillsborough St to honor someone else’s daughter. Someone who didn’t get to come home with their daughter but I got to come home to mine. I don’t even know the girl’s name or who the family is, but my heart was so heavy for these parents.”- .franchi

Authorities have now issued an Amber Alert for 9-year-old Bentley Stancil. He was last seen this morning in Wendell. Anyone who knows of his whereabouts is asked to call 911.

He was last seen near the Hardee's restaurant in Wendell.

On October 13, 2022, Lynn was visiting with a neighbor when she fell victim to a senseless act of gun violence. This GoFundMe is to help Lynn with medical bills and the long road to recovery ahead of her.

Lynn is currently hospitalized in the ICU in stable but critical condition. She has many surgeries ahead of her. She needs prayers and support during this difficult time. To know Lynn is to love her. Honoring the shooting victims. Only positive comments please

Nicole Connors, 52 - Connors lived in the neighborhood with her husband, Tracey Howard, 57. They had been married for five years.

Gabriel Torres, 29 - Torres leaves behind his wife and one child. Torres was off-duty at the time of the shooting, but was on his way to work, Raleigh Police Chief Estella Patterson said. He was not in uniform or in his patrol car when he was shot

Susan Karnatz, 49 - Karnatz lived in Hedingham with her husband, Tom. She loved running and also leaves behind 3 sons.

Mary Beth Marshall, 34 - Mary had served in the Navy and attended culinary school. She leaves behind her fiance, Robert Steele.

James Thompson, 16 - Thompson was a junior at Knightdale High School. His brother Austin Thompson is the alleged shooter.

Austin Thompson (right) has been identified as the 15-year-old suspect accused of killing 5 people in a shooting rampage in Raleigh. His brother, James Thompson, 16, was one of the victims.

PBR Country Bar – standing for Professional Bull Riders – is making its North Carolina debut in the sprawling mixed-use project in Cary. The concept is a result of a partnership between the Professional Bull Riders organization and Live! Hospitality & Entertainment. Ten locations currently exist, including in The Battery adjacent to Truist Park in Atlanta and Ballpark Village adjacent to Busch Stadium in St. Louis.

Opening in a 4,300-square-foot space, the bar will feature the area’s only professionally endorsed mechanical riding bull. PBR Country Bar will also have multiple bars, private VIP booths and a 1,300-square-foot patio. The bar will be available for private events. The location is set to open in the first half of 2023. Existing PBR Country Bar venues have also hosted country music stars like Luke Bryan and Old Dominion.
