When the victim resisted, Sohail tragically resorted to violence with fatal consequences. This case highlights the importance of personal safety in public spaces and the devastating impact of unchecked criminal activity.

Supreme Court quashes release of Bilkis Bano convicts:
Release overturned: The Supreme Court cancelled the early release of 11 convicts sentenced for the 2002 gang-rape of Bilkis Bano and the murder of her family members.
Reasons: The court found the Gujarat government lacked authority to approve remission as the offence occurred in Maharashtra, not Gujarat. Additionally, the orders were deemed "stereotyped" and lacking proper consideration.
May 13th order nullified: The court declared a previous order asking Gujarat to consider remission "nullity" due to misrepresentation of facts.
Convicts to surrender: The 11 convicts must return to jail within two weeks.
Additional details:
The court called the situation a "breach of rule of law" and an "abuse of power" by the Gujarat government.
The judgement highlighted the importance of proper jurisdiction and following legal procedures.
This case has received national attention due to the horrific nature of the crime and the controversy surrounding the early release of the convicts. The Supreme Court's decision ensures they will face their full sentences for their actions.
