"The Florida law that limits drag shows in the state will remain blocked, the Supreme Court said Thursday, dealing a blow to a key initiative championed by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis. I get the folks who may accuse this as trite or window-dressing. I understand their anger and frustration about the junk trans people have to deal with from certain segment of our government, social media, and the like. But please keep in mind that visibility matters. Representation matters and while having to deal with evil and ignorance is exhausting, this video represents is a step forward. And in the end not allowing the haters from keeping you from taking those steps forward means that you are winning.

Anti-trans 'whistleblower' Jamie Reed has been called out numerous times for lies in her story of alleged bad practices by a gender-affirming care clinic in Missouri. This one is the latest time and also the latest time in which a press - who went all bonkers for Reed - seem to be ignoring the bigger story that there is something really not right here about Reed, her claims, and who she has aligned herself with.

A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit brought by America First Legal against an Ohio school district over its transgender bathroom policy. America First Legal filed the suit in November. The president of the organisation is Stephen Miller, who served as a senior White House adviser to former President Donald Trump. District Judge Michael Newman ruled on Monday that the organisation’s claims lacked standing, and the board’s new policy did not infringe on the parents’ free exercise of religion.

Each year, the Equality Forum names 31 LGBT icons for LGBT History Month in October. This year's list features such noted people as Chasten Buttigieg, Brittany Griner, Eddie Izzard and Leslie Jordan. They should remind us about how truly diverse and powerful we are as a people. And this year's list is important in light of all of the negativity we've been bombarded with. In her order granting the injunction, Zipps found that the law is “overly broad” because it bans transgender female athletes, including those at the elementary school level, from girls’ sports teams, despite the lack of evidence proving that pre-pubertal athletes hold some physiological or unfair competitive advantage over other children based solely on their assigned s*x at birth. Don't let the right fool you with their false narratives about fired up parents supposedly being solely on their side. LGBTQ kids have parents too and they don't need any astroturfed groups to manufacture the fire for them. They bring their own, like this mother recently did in front of the Wilson School Board in Tennessee as she defended not only her child, but other LGBTQ students, from bigoted school board policies.
