I woke early today to see the sunrise from this iconic spot. It was raining just enough to be annoying. So we abandoned the walk and drove. The rain slowed and the sun came up. It was as magic as ever. There is a reason so many people dream of a Byron lifestyle. I hope you are enjoying a long weekend wherever you are.

This is out today…
Jennifer Robinson was just 28 years old when she became a part of what was, at the time, the biggest news story in the world: Julian Assange and Wikileaks. From the outset, Robinson was told that she was too young - a critique exemplified by a demoralising interaction with one of the world’s most eminent lawyers.

For the first time, Jennifer Robinson shares that moment, how she forged her place as one of the most prodigious legal minds of her generation and shares her advice for the next generation of legal minds when they’re told that they’re also too young. Out now!! Supported by Victoria Police @vicpol

Hello, this week I have caught up with a lot of people but only remembers to capture the moment. This is after dinner in Melbourne where the city is crazy with tennis fans and finding a relaxed place for dinner hard! We were back on the street and heading home well before the sun went down.

But very pleased to be offering our Academy program to underemployed women in the Sunshine State. This was taken in the security operation centre at CyberCX. Thanks to the partnership and to the Queensland Government and Premier Palaszczuk for supporting the initiative. #

Twenty years ago I was in the Canberra press gallery when my little brother Luke (pictured) was drafted to Hawthorn. This week we went to Melbourne to watch his lovely/clever son Will follow in Luke's footsteps. The father and son rule means I will have to dust of the scarf! Thanks to the for allowing us to be there this time. PS I think it was Henry McCabe or maybe it was Ed who pointed out that their Dad was pick 15 and Will 19

Hello, the extended family and friends are very proud of this young man. Despite a lot of attention and pressure he never lost his cool... and was drafted to Hawthorn. Although his three brothers and sister might have been more excited than he was. Well done Will. As the coach said - training starts Monday.

This is what happens when you only see the small family members a handful of times a year! And no they did not eat it all. In fact eating these disgusting combinations was least fun bit about a Yo Chi store. Right Grace, Jack and Harry?

On the weekend I went to a spectacular party 🎉. It was actually fancy dress (which is not clear from this pic, you are correct) but I caught up with some old friends. Including this excellent human ( newspaper magazine editor) Liz Coleman. I forget how disruptive Covid was and still is.. so many people I have barely seen in recent years.

Tonight I had the great privilege of hearing Majorie Jackson Nelson speak about her Olympic career in particular those early days of training in Lithgow. Marj (as she asks to be called) was there for the opening of the MJN Centre for Women in Sport in Adelaide. A shout out to for the vision and funding and to the excellent team at Sport SA for an inspiring night at The Drive.
MJN is pictured with her great nieces...and Minister Hildyard.
