Love you More

You effortlessly paint
A beautiful sunrise, sunset
Gorgeous colors swirled together
Shining like it is still wet.

The mountains stand
So huge and tall
So solid and strong
An unbreakable wall.

Rivers, oceans
Streams, seas
Meadows, fields
Forests filled with trees.

Sunshine, rainy days
How fiercely the wind blows
Sparkling moon and stars
Reflecting off of the drifting snow.

Special people
Our family and friends
Blessings beyond measure
You certainly send.

Thankfulness goes deep
Down to my very core
Yet I always, always, always
I will always love You more!

Safely Home!

Running hard, the wind at your back
Going so fast you fly
When the umpire yells safe!
Foot on base, feeling such a high!

The ball hits the bat
With an astonishing snap
You start off running
As the ball hits the glove with a slap!

Running hard, running free
When you get out, a sad defeat
Head held high as you’re walking back
For now, having to take a seat.

You’re up, finally, it’s your turn
Quickly adjusting your hat
All your persistence and practice
Comes down to a minute at bat.

Believing in yourself
Knowing that you can
Hearing the cheering and yelling
Not wanting to disappoint the fans.

A perfect hit becomes a perfect catch
Out once again, heading back
Head down helmet in hand
Hoping the next batter takes up the slack.

High-fives and fist pumps
Coming to the final inning
This game went by so very fast
It’s all about playing well, not just winning.

At third running for home
I won’t make it unless I slide
The wind is picking up thick dust
As I come in safe and wide.

End of the game and tired
From all the balls that were thrown
A big smile reaches my eyes
At the times I was safely home!

Remembering those who have lost babies, who were never able to have babies, those who have adopted their little ones and those who so selflessly placed their sweet ones in another’s arms to raise. Those Aunts who so lovingly mother their nieces and nephews and for these women who carry the love of a child in their hearts- Wishing all a very blessed and Happy Mothers Day! ❤️

Our Children

Give them much love
But let them find their own strength
Realize their potential
Measure their own length.

Always encourage them
To do their very best
Strive for their own excellence
Not running after all of the rest.

Give them boundaries
Yet let them still reach
Show them with your actions
Not just what you teach.

When they are lost help them
In the end let them find
Let them have their victory/failure
And always be kind.

Love unconditionally
And praise just enough
Don’t overdo it
With a lot of unnecessary stuff.

Teach, teach, teach them
Of Jesus and His love
Praying without ceasing
To our Father above.

Help them to always know
As they lay their head down every night
That you love them so very much
With all of your might!

Children, what a huge blessing
And as long as I live
My heart filled with thankfulness
For the precious ones He gives.

Stronger Than You Think

The enemy has perfected his craft
We think things are not okay
That things will never change
Believing lies he feeds us day after day.

Our minds are held hostage
By the voices in our heads
We become completely paralyzed
At everything that has been said.

Confused and afraid
We believe all of these lies
It’s all we’ve ever known
Ourselves we learn to despise.

We start to confuse
Yesterday with tomorrow
Believing things can’t change
We become filled with sorrow.

Locked in heavy chains
We can’t identify
Or separate the voices
That make us sigh.

Flooding our hearts with truth
Our Hero gets a firm hold
Voices starting to fade
As His love is so bold!

As we turn our eyes to Jesus
Never looking away
Gently He reassures us
That only His voice is to stay.

He commands the winds
He commands each wave
And it is with Him fully
In our hearts we are saved.

We can find freedom
In our mind, we are never alone
Those voices have no control
Remember Who is on the throne!

Close forever your mind
Slam that door in the enemy’s face
Keep it always open
Remembering Jesus blessed grace.

Remember that we get to choose
It is a choice
Who we listen to
Which voice.

Remember the enemy
Keeps us always on the brink
Jesus helps us realize
We are much stronger than we think!
