News clippings used for collaging in Rotten Volume Three ✂️

These all came from a job lot of 70’s & 80’s tabloid papers we bought for making the issue. The guy we bought them off had cut the Page 3 girls out of every single one. Also, The Rat logo came from chopping up the logo for The Daily Star 💫

Rotten Volume One… Where it all started 😵‍💫

We’ve come a long way since cobbling this issue together, we were just finding our feet, had f**k all to say, and had no clue what a masthead was, or what editor-in-chief meant (still don’t). ‘The Rat’ tells the intricate story of terminally-online NEET, Bogman - a reclusive 28 year-old living a toxic life indoors.

In Olivier Pin-Fat’s unhinged feature, photos from his series IN)ABSENTIA are repurposed alongside a thread from magic mushroom forum shroomery.org

In the thread, Bogman inquires about the plausibility of jacking-off under the influence, to simulate s*x with a real person. Things don’t quite go to plan and Bogman has an unwelcome out of body experience.

Can’t believe it’s already been a year since we released this one 👁

Growing up in Northern Ireland there were all these weird parallels between religious culture and substance abuse in the community. Protestant paramilitaries selling gear, getting wiped out at the YMCA youth club, selling w**d in the school assembly, seeing God on a fake 2CB tab 🫣
