Are you or someone you know living with asthma? It's essential to understand this condition and how to manage it effectively. Here are some key points to keep in mind:

1. **Asthma Awareness**: Asthma is a chronic respiratory condition that affects the airways, making breathing difficult. It can be managed with proper care and attention.

2. **Triggers**: Various factors such as allergens, cold air, smoke, or exercise can trigger asthma symptoms. Identifying and avoiding triggers is crucial.

3. **Medication Management**: Inhalers and other prescribed medications play a vital role in controlling asthma. It's important to use them as directed by your healthcare provider.

4. **Lifestyle Adjustments**: Making certain lifestyle changes, such as staying active, maintaining a healthy weight, and creating an asthma action plan, can significantly improve quality of life.

5. **Support and Education**: Seeking support from healthcare professionals and learning more about asthma can empower individuals to manage their condition effectively.

Let's raise awareness and support for those living with asthma. Together, we can create a more asthma-friendly world! 🌬️💙

Help Louise Miller raise money to support HOPE for Paediatric Epilepsy: London

07/03/2024

The lull before the storm at yesterday’s Woodhouse College careers fair!
HOPE Trustee, Andrea Ryan attended the event to discuss volunteering opportunities with the students.
Many of the students want experience working with children and young people with special needs and disabilities and to be involved in their local community.
Some students who volunteer at our monthly Family Support Sessions take the experience they have gained to support university applications for medicine, psychology, research and other courses.
We are proud to work with the students and grateful for the support they provide to help the sessions run smoothly so families can relax and the children enjoy themselves.

📣We have another FREE online event for parents & carers: 'Talking about wee and poo'. 📣

It's in two parts:
Thursday 7th March (talking about wee)
Thursday 14th March (talking about poo)
🕧12.30-13.15 (via Zoom)

💦Wee and 💩poo problems can be connected, which is why we strongly recommend that you attend both sessions.

These events are led by our expert Helpline Advisors, who will be looking at common bowel and bladder problems that children experience and how you can help overcome and manage them.

Find more information and how to book your place via the link in the comments.

Please share this post so that other parents and carers can benefit from this free event.

❗️️PLEASE NOTE: these free events are for parents and carers. If you are a health, education or early years worker interested in events to support you in your professional capacity please see our programme of training courses for professionals on our website.
