Get CMT back on TV in the UK . CAMPAIGN TO BRING BACK CMT PROGRAMMING TO UK TV !! All other genres of music get plenty of coverage, but country fans are continually overlooked.

OUR PAGE WILL KEEP YOU SMACK BANG UP TO DATE WITH THE WORLD OF COUNTRY MUSIC....This is a campaign on behalf of Country music fans in the UK & Ireland to get CMT back onto the satellite platform. The music is more popular than ever with artists such as: Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum, Toby Keith, Zac Brown Band, Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Suzy Bogguss, Gretchen Peters, Matraca Berg, Billy
Yates

& more all touring in 2011. Lady antebellum, Band Perry, Reba & more touring in 2012 plus the AMAZING Country2Country event in 2013. I feel the way to approach things is to campaign for MTV (parent company) to give over a few hours per week on one of their existing channels, say, a couple of 3 hour slots, with one of them being at the weekend. This would enable fans to sample shows like: CMT Crossroads (where country stars perform together with rock/pop stars), Next Superstar, the Annual CMT video Awards,.....and of course marvellous country music videos. We'll need to show that there is a fanbase for the music .....so get all your friends to "LIKE" this page!!
