The station was formerly known as "WLEO", and broad casted news, sports and music. the station ran strong until the mid 1970's when operations halted until the early 1980's where it was revived and operated until the mid 1990's where it once again halted operations. In 2006, the station was once again revived by students and started fresh by changing its call name from WLEO, to WSLU. Since the las
t revitalization, WSLU has been broadcasting strong and plans to keep expanding and staying current with today's broadcasting technology. Today the tradition is carried on by current Saint Leo students who host their own live shows on the station as well as broadcast music, news and sports throughout the day, just as past generations did. The station currently located in the Education Resource Center (ERC) in the Cannon Memorial Library. However the station will soon be moving to the new Don Tapia School of Business which will be completed by August 2011. The new studio will feature top of the line equipment and software to help keep WSLU's broadcasts professional and enjoyable to it's listeners. It operates in a professional manner with real world structuring. Tune in sometime, and join a tradition that's over 60 years old.
