For 3 decades now, Sathya Jyothi Films has nurtured new directors and technicians, who have later become celebrity directors and technicians. In an effort to bring good cinema, Sathya Jyothi has made movies that go beyond the conventional and has inspired many a movie goers to take up filming. Sathyajyothi Films roots run deep in the form of production houses of great repute - Venus Pictures and Sathya Movies. T G Thyagarajan who currently heads Sathya Jyothi Films. Govindarajan is the man behind classic movies in several Indian languages including the Tamil box office hits `Uthama Puthiran' and `Kalyana Parisu'. He married legendary actor & comedian N. Krishnan's Sister-in-law & T.A. Maduram's sister T.A. Pattammal which explains his foray into movie making. In 1976, acting sensation, hon'ble Ex- Chief Minister - MGR surprised Venus Govindarajan, father of Thyagarajan, by offering to do a film for him independently. And he suggested the name, "Sathya Jyothi Films" for the new outfit and gave him the letter of confirmation in his Emjeeyar Pictures letterhead.
