Backline Records Built by the artists, for the artists In this day and age, trying to "make it" is as a musician is virtually impossible. We take nothing and no one for granted.

There is little or no support for many incredible artists here in Portland, OR. Spurned on by the lack of unity in Portland's music scene, I formed Backline Records with my close friends Tommy Graven, Phil St. John, Jacob Tippets, and Abe Holderman, who all share a singular goal: to have a fulfilling career doing what we love. Everything about Backline Records, from our two-story recording studio

to our merchandising company DKC Screen Printing, was built by the artists, for the artists. We've amassed a large collective of supporting artist-run businesses here in Portland, Oregon to help our artists get the help they deserve as they take their projects from inspiration to ex*****on. At Backline Records it's not about being the best, it's about being happy and doing what we love doing.
