R.I.P Mike Halac AKA Mantaur. Back when getting wrestling stuff as a kid was very rare, things like pogs and stickers were basically life. Mantaur has his place in history and a place in my childhood. Remember that he was presented relatively seriously after the Bison Head came off and was an athelete who stood as much of a chance in 1995 as anyone else. He also subbed for Goldust at In Your House 7, taking bumps for the Warrior and saving what was just about a dire segment and he was also an original member of The Truth Commission who I know far too much about as a fan. I'm glad for Mike that he knew he had 2 awesome figures coming from that will help to cement his place in history.

R.I.P. Superstar Billy Graham.
It didn't get much better for me. He made everything he did important.
A controversial man who I didn't agree with a lot of the time but it was easy to see past that because of his inate charisma and ability to hold a crowd. I doubt I could be a wrestling fan if I couldn't separate the art from the artist.
Even with the book and documentary, I don't think Graham gets the recognition he deserves as an architect with both look and promo who casts a large shadow.
A sad day indeed.

After 7 years of wrestling podcasting and being able to podcast for some big toy companies, wrestling promotions and conventions, I've decided to call it a day and more actively focus on making music again as well as the stuff I do for my Jellyfish YouTube Channel. I've made legit friends with some of my heroes and have done more than I ever dreamt possible in an (as it was) not quite yet oversaturated world. I want to thank Colin Delaney , Mark Fox , Alex Tempest and any other co-host that has helped make it fun but I feel that I am out of unique things to offer and the stress relief from coming to that desicion by myself is very gratifying. I of course want to thank BBG Wrestling for continuing to be a home to the shows and for all the immense amount of work and pride they put into what they do. I am now available for the convention circut.

I heard that is ceasing operations which makes me sad. Ever since this Aldo Montoya statue was announced, I kept a close eye on its progress and couldn't wait to order. This was originally limited to 100 pieces but now I believe it is only 50 unless I'm mistaken. The detail and likeness on this hand painted statue is top notch and the comic book style packaging really pushed it over the top for me. It's great to be at a point where officially licensed or endorsed figures can be made of some of the more colourful and obscure gimmicks. Thanks to Wrestling Arcade for their great communication and giving me a figure I never thought I'd be able to own

What terribly sad news. R.I.P. to one of my favourite villains and an all round true gentleman, Summerslam 1989 and Royal Rumble 1992 were 2 of my first VHS when I was 7 and he made his mark on both of them and on me as a fan. It was an honour to be able to have him on a podcast. He had a fun and filthy sense of humour and was incredibly gracious with his time. Wrestling has lost one of the good ones today ❤

2 more for the Christian collection! Alternate boxes were never really a thing for Christian figures until his Brood Elite figures which came with slightly different box decor and ofcourse the bio on the back. This would be a step up on that, coming with the free trading card and the differently shaped box design to advertise the card. It is a much better looking figure in person than what the photographs would have you think. I always keep thinking that we have seen the last of Christian figures then another comes out! I should probably do an updated collection picture with the Fan Central, the Micro Brawler, the eaglemoss statue and these 2.

About the extent of my custom ability. Will give a review on the new UE Warrior. Figure of the year?!? Also! I'm going to L.A this week and look forward to some toy hunting. Then! A reasonably big announcement from myself as I wait and see what happens with the Chella takeover and how I fit in. The podcast will continue in some form and it will be great! And maybe connected to my announcement?!?!

I imagine that a lot of old school fans were happy that the 2 Rick Rude heads came with the Ultimate Warrior figure in the new Survivor Series set. Suited body parts are easy enough to come by. I used the Commissioner Michaels BAF as his brown suit always stuck with me for some reason. Both heads are incredible. The moustache head is a new mould but it is much paler so wouldn't work on his Summerslam 90 figure. Good on Mattel for commemorating one of histories most infamous moments!

A crazy week in Chella land. Things will turn out well I am sure and I look forward to continuing to be part of it all. We have some interviews ready to go and some great new concepts that we hope you will like and we hope to bring more attention to. In the meantime....3 Hogans in 3 weeks! Here is the second one. Mattel can't make so many legends compared to Jakks but it means they can deep dive on obscure looks such as Hulk Hogans war bonnet! Surpringly not one of Vinces ideas. He wore this on various shows throughout 1988 and even though it is thoroughly stupid, I can't not love it. I do wish Mattel would stay consistent with bright red kneepads for Hogan though this head is kinda the head that they've been working towards and it is one of their best ever.

Toy Art U.K was tons of fun. Got to meet a lot of new people including someone who worked with Giant Haystacks back in the day. I also met some of the Chella design team and I can confirm what an asset they are to the company. Chella is getting there. Expect big changes and for s**t to really finally get sorted. I'm excited to be part of it. Please don't worry....it's a mess atm but figures will end up in everyone's hands and the future is bright. When in Leeds, I had to pop to Forbidden Planet. It was one of the old school ones so it had some decent stuff. I wasn't expecting to find the Dusty pop so early. It isn't even on the Smyths Website. He is Funko like monkey! What a time to be alive when this mixed tag team match has been so well represented in toy form. Note how I added prismatic glitter to savage to make him extra fabulous.

File under: Won over in person. Just because of it being this match, I was always interested in its release though with them being pretty much re-releases, I was up in the air with it. Andre uses the head that came with the Mania Ring Cart set but the Tru FX on this Andre is MUCH better. Actually some of the best Tru FX I've ever seen. I personally wouldn't have went with the smiling head but it does still look great. I really never want to open good battle packs but there is always an inaccuracy that does my head in to the point where I hace to open and rectify it. Thankfully unlike the previous Andre, they've given him his giant hands. That would have been a deal breaker. Surprisingly, Hogan has one of his Ultimate Edition heads. A vast improvement over the American Made head (which looks great but not with the Tru FX). Because of the lack of entrance gear and belt, I consider this a Battle Pack in the true sense. This is why I would have given Andre a more stern expression, maybe his Machines head or original Legends head. Hogan should maybe have come with a Bandana since you can see the gaps in his hair where the bandana is supposed to go but honestly, a very nice basic set of maybe the biggest match of all time.

As always, fashionably late! It has been a good while since I last bought a WWE DVD but this is certainly a special occasion! I'm not going to review the event, just the actual release. There are so many things I would have done if it were me running things but I'm going to stay within the realistic boundaries of 1 disc. Being able to play the event as either the broadcasted version or as the crowd saw it with the dark matches was certainly a nice touch, however, they should have tried harder here. The Tatanka v Berzerker match is unfindable on the DVD menu which made me think that they had relegated it to the bonus features section. It is on the event however, though Berzerkers introduction which is on the VHS and Tagged Classic is cut out. Bret and Bulldogs promos should be next to each other also, not split by a match. It is quite jarring. The 3 episodes of Superstars are nice, but I would have much preferred the Summerslam Spectacular show for better quality matches and as a companion to the event. The unaired in the U.K countdown is certainly a highlight and pretty much covers all you need to know about the main matches without the need of the Superstars episodes which are readily available on the network. Not a huge deal for me, but for those wanting to just watch the final match, Pipers bagpipe performance is also part of that chapter and could have done with being split up. I think the nicest extra they could have included would have been the legends segment which is available to view on YouTube via a fan cam. If we were going crazy, Prism or Panini should have made an exclusive set of cards for the event based on the unseen images that wwedvdUK were posting on their socials. Overall though, a wonderful event and beyond worth the price.

Compared to a lot of people, I don't really have many wrestlers autographs, however, this is one of my favourites. I had first heard Pete Dohertys commentary on the Hulk Hogan - Real American VHS on what was probably the first ever broadcast Hogan V Dibiase match from 1987. Pete commentated on a lot of the Houston shows along with Bruce Prichard and Mike Mcguirk. He also commentated several MSG and Boston Garden shows where he was the true Duke of Dorchester! He was a heel but it was impossible to hate him due to his comedic style and his flawless wrestling ability which would have fit in the height of World of Sport. He reminds me a lot of Cat Weazel, always entertaining. He was a special guest at the final Boston Garden show in 1997 and eventually was put in the New England Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Are starting to stock more classic WWF names. In some cases, these bobbleheads have been the definitive version of a wrestler for me to the point where I've even sold the figure on. is captured in all his early 1990's glory with arguably his best likeness on a figure or statue from this era. I love themed display stands and this one does not let up on the Union Jakkedness of it all. Not a huge deal because you can't pose these in a box and nor would you want to but it is almost impossible taking it out of the box without breaking all the Styrofoam and getting it everywhere! Not good for a long haired fellow and a cat! One side of his cape had come off his hand but it was easily glued back on. The addition of Winston is superb, I hope her family get the royalties! It would have been very apt for it to be a nodding dog, oh yes!

I do love that this pencil case is probably the only in history to describe that it is a pencil case on the actual artwork. It is flimsy as balls and would not last long if used for its intended purpose. It is an apt free gift considering the pencil and eraser will have been used when deciding what the title match will be!

My favourite thing about the Ultimate Edition Hogan is the alternate heads that he comes with. The one you see here was originally meant to be the head for the Survivor Series figure. I was very dissapointed when they switched it to the old American Made head. The American Made head sculpt is actually really good but with the tan and the Tru FX, it looks awful. I used the cloth bandana from a TNA Hogan and added his '86 title.

Feeling nostalgic! My 8th Birthday in 1994. Summerslam 1993 remains one of my favourite events. It came with the tattoos and an order form for a free gift which never came! This is the birthday I got all of the Yellow card Hasbro series. Better times! 💛

Something old, something new. Here are the very first and the most recent Mankind pins. The first (left) was most notably a free gift when you ordered Badd Blood back in 1997. The most recent is made by Funko and came with the Mankind lunchbox and Funko Pop set.

One of the more curiously autographed things in my collection. Wrestlemania 10 stuff always looks great IMO. This is a form to book your travel to the Big Apple and have some premium tickets for the show that was 10 years in the making! Autographed by one of the greatest photographers of all time, George Napolitano. I have several his books ❤

Only Summerslam 1993 shades will do today! They were made for the Coliseum Video release however 2 colours were made.for the previous Summerslam at Wembley. There was also a teal pair made for 1994!

Going through one of many boxes of forgotten dreams and come across this! Maybe the only piece of memorabilia that covers my love of WWF, Games Master and Channel 4! The early 90s were full of guest appearences from wrestlers on all manner of shows. I very much remember Randy Savage and Bagwell & Patriot on Games Master. might have been promoting his U.S.A single!
