At the end of May, when I had the thought that I should just try to make movies for fun again, there was a voice in my head that worried, I wouldn't be able to do it. It'd been a while since I'd taken on the role of director & created something fueled by my own internal momentum. And I spent the next 2 months scared.
But I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by an incredible group of people who not only encouraged me, & put their faith in me, but pushed me to be better. And it is because of them that I can share these behind the scenes photos from this week's shoot for CUSHIONED - that has now wrapped and is heading into post production!!
Suzi, Sally, Amber, Aiden, and JM, you all took the characters I'd written and not only brought them to life on screen, but put your own creativity into them, AND were an dream to work with on set.
Maggie, Ellie, Eddo, Keegan, & Amber (again), I will work with any of you as many times as you like. As a crew, you are talented AF, as people, you're vibrant and fun, AND as a team, you brought the set to life and made every second joyous.
I'll post some shots from the film soon as we head into post. I am so excited to share this team's beautiful work. For the first of what look to be many films in the coming year, I couldn't have dreamed of a better start!
