During my trip out to Macedonia, in the city of Krusevo, I was told about a young Macedonian singer named Tose Proeski. Two days ago, it would have been Tose Proeski's birthday. Tose was a national pride, a singer songwriter of amazing talent. A good looking man with everything going for him, the BBC even said that he was the Elvis Presley of the Balkan. Sadly in 2007, his life was taken away in a traffic accident in his 26th trip around the sun.
I have listened to some of his music and although I don't understand the lyrics, I could feel the love he put into his music. The instrumental elements and melodies are all beautifully written. And his voice was second to none.
So in memory of a young man gone way too soon, on his bday, I decided to resample his voice and use it in my music. I'll be sharing this track as a free download once done, provided I get the permission to do so.
RIP Tose Proeski, and who know, we may be jamming together one day in a parallel world.
