Nthposition Press We publish stuff we like. The name nthposition was chosen after discovering that the deeply meaningful ones were taken. And now we're publishing a few books.

A Google search revealed that "all elements in front of the nth position are less than or equal to this element, and all elements that follow are greater than or equal to it". So it's no better or worse than any other site, and has no particular editorial policy apart from a preference for good, interesting writing. nthposition was shortlisted for the 2002 European Online Journalism Awards; nomina

ted for a People's Voice award in the 2003 Webbys; and, in 2004, won a Utne Independent Press Award. In 2005, nthposition was selected as Webby Worthy, a category for "sites exhibiting remarkable achievement that were not chosen as Nominees", and given the number and calibre of sites involved in the Webbys, nthposition was delighted. Marina Warner described the site as "the twenty-first century answer to the vanished local bookshop kept by an avid reader with style and taste and real insider knowledge" and The Hindu included it as one of half a dozen click-worthy arts sites (http://bit.ly/9FZptt). The Guardian described its '100 Poets Against the War' series of anthologies as "remarkable for its global range and depth".
