Jack Russell & Tracii Guns

RUSSELL - GUNS marks the beginning of a fresh artistic partnership between two legendary figures of Los Angeles hard rock: Jack Russell and Tracii Guns, accompanied by Johnny Martin, Shane Fitzgibbon and Alessandro Del Vecchio.

The pair released their new studio album, 'Medusa,' on January 12th, 2024 via Frontiers Music Srl.

Commenting on the partnership, Tracii Guns said, "Jack is one of the greatest rock voices of our generation. It’s a total honor to play guitar on this record."

For Jack Russell, this project represents a long-awaited return to recording and new music, coming seven years after the release of 'He Saw It Comin'' with Jack Russell's Great White. Instead of dwelling on the past and attempting to recreate the storied origins of the multi-platinum hard rock entity, Jack is excited to be moving forward and collaborating with none other than Tracii Guns, an artist experiencing a creative resurgence of his own.

On 'Medusa,' Jack and Tracii have discovered a common thread in a collection of songs that draw from the bluesy power and heavy energy of their most celebrated material and roots, yet infused with a fresh, energetic drive and modern metallic production.

In 1984, Jack Russell burst onto the scene as the front man for Great White, a prominent presence in the Los Angeles music scene. The band's self-titled debut, along with platinum-selling albums like 1987's 'Once Bitten...' and 1989's '...Twice Shy," sold over 8 million copies worldwide. Their rock legacy continued into the 21st century, and in 2011, Russell went on to form Jack Russell's Great White.

Tracii Guns is a legend in his own right. He founded LA Guns in 1983, which later merged with another group called Hollywood Rose, laying the foundation for one of the true giants of rock: Guns N' Roses. After departing the band and reuniting with former Girl lead vocalist Phil Lewis to reform LA Guns, he signed with Vertigo Records and released 14 studio albums with the band. He also ventured into various side projects, including Contraband (with Michael Schenker and others), Sunbomb (with Michael Sweet of Stryper), and more recently, Blackbird Angels with Todd Kerns (of Slash & The Conspirators).

Ultimately, this new music from RUSSELL - GUNS is a gift to the millions of fans who have steadfastly supported both Tracii Guns and Jack Russell throughout the years. It's everything they've been waiting for and more.

James Dale Jones, 55, was born on October 17, 1967, in Griffin, GA. He passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023, at the Spalding Center for Nursing and Healing.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on August 8, 2023, at the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on August 7, 2023, also at Coggins Funeral Home.

I know many of you havent heard yet, and i just found out myself that one of our dearest and sweet friends James " Joker" Jones has passed away. He lost his battle to cancer. Please keep his family in your Thoughts and Prayers. James was a very sweet, caring person. He use to DJ over here some time back, just for a little while, its been several years ago. He will be greatly Missed! RIP Joker! We Love ya

Demons Down

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announced the signing of Demons Down, a new band featuring two talented up-and-coming musicians, vocalist James Robledo (Sinner's Blood) and guitarist Francesco Savino (False Memories), along with hard rock scene veterans guitarist Jimi Bell (House of Lords, Autograph), drummer Ken Mary (ex-House of Lords, Alice Cooper, Fifth Angel, etc.), and bassist Chuck Wright (Quiet Riot, bass, ex-House of Lords, etc.). Their debut album, "I Stand" sees this gathering of young performers and established skill players delivering a quintessential classic hard rock album.

Demons Down traffics in a hard rock sound that references the late '80s/early '90s movement where massive hooks, huge melodies, and lush keyboards were the order of the day. But this is no simple exercise in paying tribute to yesteryear as the music rocks hard to compliment the vocal talents of Robledo (who has, sonically, been compared to the likes of Jorn Lande and Russell Allen). Fans of early House Of Lords material and their sonic peers from that time period as well as Robledo's debut solo album, "Wanted Man", will have much to enjoy here.

James Robledo is a Chilean vocalist who comes from a family of musicians with prominent places in the history of Chilean music, with both national and international success. In his youth, he began his foray into metal and rock, but in 2016, James took part in the popular TV show THE VOICE CHILE 2, where his participation generated a stir thanks to his outstanding vocal performances. Since then, he has become a more active member of the larger hard rock/metal community and with Frontiers, he has released one solo album, "Wanted Man" and an album, "The Mirror Star" with Chilean metal band Sinner's Blood, whom are also currently preparing their second album for release.

Francesco Savino is an Italian guitarist and songwriter who founded the up-and-coming gothic metal band False Memories in 2015. That band's latest release, "The Last Night Of Fall," (2021) was met with praise from both fans and metal media alike. The band also released a covers EP, "Echoes Of A Reflection" and a live EP, "Live Until The Twilight" since the release of their last studio album. With his songwriting partner Rossella Moscatello (who is the lead vocalist for False Memories), Franceso has also been contributing songs to Frontiers and is working on the next False Memories album.

Jimi Bell is an established hard rock guitarist who is currently a member of both House Of Lords and Autograph, and, of course, Demons Down. Bell, a Connecticut native, was inducted into the New England Music Hall in 2020. In addition to his work with various bands over the years, he has done a wealth of studio work for sports outlets like ESPN, WWE, Impact Wrestling, and NASCAR. Bell is an official endorser of Roberts Guitar, Viper Guitars, Charvel Guitars, PVX Guitar, Funk Guitars, Ovation Guitars, GHS Strings, Rocktron, Randall, Marshall Amps (Europe), and KickAss Cables. He is also the inventor of the SHREDNECK.

Chuck Wright is an American bassist, best known as a member of Quiet Riot. He originally joined Quiet Riot in 1982, playing bass on the tracks "Metal Health (Bang Your Head)" and "Don't Wanna Let You Go," as well as singing background vocals on all tracks from the 1983 album Metal Health. In addition to Quiet Riot, whom he has played with intermittently, Wright has played with Giuffria, House Of Lords, Ted Nugent, Alice Cooper, and Heaven & Earth, to name a few, over the years.

Drummer Ken Mary’s lengthy career in music has seen him play in a wide variety of genres that showcased his wide ranging skills at the instrument. In addition to being a drummer, Ken is also an engineer, writer, vocalist, and award winning producer. He has sold a combined 5 million (plus) albums globally over the entirety of his body of work. His drumming can be heard on albums from Alice Cooper, Jordan Rudess, Northern Light Orchestra, Kip Winger, House of Lords, The Beach Boys, Impelliterri, Don Dokken, Fifth Angel, Bonfire, and many more, and of course, very soon, Demons Down.

Robin McAuley

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the upcoming release of legendary rock vocalist Robin McAuley's new solo album, "Alive" on February 17, 2023.

This new album sees McAuley's voice continuing to defy time and sounding as inspired and powerful as ever. The music itself is more hard rockin' than his previous effort, "Standing On The Edge", but, of course, the music is still wonderfully melodic, infectious, and fist-in-the-air uplifting.

McAuley's previous solo album, “Standing On The Edge" showcased the desire of the respected Irish rock singer to make a strong musical statement in a period that was more creative than ever for him. After reemerging on the recording side of the music industry with guest spots on Michael Schenker Fest albums and fronting the hard rock supergroup Black Swan, McAuley was (and still is) feeling invigorated and ready to explore even more creative output to let the world see that his voice was (and, again, still is) as powerful as ever.

After returning with the powerful aforementioned musical statements from Michael Schenker Fest, Black Swan, and his last solo album, McAuley and his Black Swan cohorts, guitarist Reb Beach, bassist Jeff Pilson, and drummer Matt Star, returned in early 2022 with a second album, "Generation Mind". That album delivered, and arguably surpassed, the promise of the band's debut and once again saw Robin's powerful vocals being showcased in a fantastic hard rock setting. After coming off the creative spark of writing songs with Beach and Pilson for Black Swan's second effort, work for "Alive" began in 2022 and once again, Robin's inspired vocal performance on this album is a revelation. You'll realize that "Alive" could not be more aptly titled once you hear this glorious rock n' roll album.

Robin's backing band is the same as appeared with him on the previous effort, including guitarist Andrea Seveso, who once again absolutely stuns with his talents, bassist/keyboardist Alessandro Del Vecchio (who also produces once again), and drummer Nicholas Papapicco.

Robin McAuley is widely recognized as one of the great singers of a golden period in hard rock music. His voice can be heard on albums from Grand Prix and Far Corporation, and of course on the chart topping MSG records “Perfect Timing,” “Save Yourself,” and “MSG”. Through these releases, he was introduced to hard rock fans around the globe, who no doubt recognized the inherent talent and skill in his vocal abilities. Once he departed MSG, he released one solo record in 1999, then joined AOR legends Survivor, and then re-grouped with Schenker in Michael Schenker Fest on their recent records "Resurrection" and "Revelation". And of course, in what was an absolute revelation to hard rock fans around the world, in 2020, he came out swingin' as the frontman of the supergroup Black Swan, where he joined forces with Reb Beach (Whitesnake, Winger), Jeff Pilson (Foreigner, ex-Dokken), and Matt Starr (Ace Frehley, Mr Big). The band would return in 2022 with a second album, "Generation Mind" that was met with equal, if not surpassing, amounts of praise as their debut.

Comprised of Jon Ricci (Vocals), Shaun Lichtenstein (Lead Guitar / Vocals), Glenn Mungo (Drums), Josh Waterman (Guitar / Vocals), and Mike LaRoche (Bass), LANSDOWNE has been a force to be reckoned with since emerging into the music scene in 2006.

In their 15+ years as a band, they have achieved two billboard charting radio singles, over 100 million streams / views across platforms on their music, and have licensed songs to major brands such as iRobot, the NFL, MTV, and morel.

Lansdowne built their name the old fashioned way – on the road, having performed countless shows internationally, including a 2007 tour for the troops across Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, and Kuwait, as well as sharing the stage with rock heavyweights such as Theory of a Deadman, Puddle of Mudd, Creed, Black Stone Cherry, Pop Evil, and more.

Them Guns

Los Angeles based rock band, Them Guns has announced the upcoming release of their highly anticipated new single ‘Acid Plane’ from Golden Robot Records. The band, made up of lead vocalist and guitarist Navarone Garibaldi, keyboardist/drummer Kyle Hamood and bassist Chuck Holiday, are no strangers to the studio and stage having released two previous singles from their upcoming second album, 'Shot in the Dark' and 'Dark Side.'

‘Acid Plane’ is a song about getting on a flight right before a nuclear disaster with the only survivors being those who were in the skies at the time of the eruption. When they make it to their destination, they arrive at a completely different existence from the one they left. The song was written by Garibaldi and Hamood.
The band’s charismatic lead singer/guitarist Navarone Garibaldi and iconic keyboarist/drummer Kyle Hamood had a chemistry for music from an early start. It was circumstance that brought them together after meeting as toddlers at a pool in Hawaii. Twenty years later, at a chance meeting, the two became bandmates and quickly put their mark on their own unique style of music. Bass player Chuck Holiday rounds out the trio now known as “Them Guns.”

Garibaldi is no stranger to the limelight as the son of Priscilla Presley, but he has forged his own way through his music. With the band’s global, loyal following are energized by the release of their new music. Back in the studio and creating a new music video only precedes plans for a Fall 2023 tour with the band having already performed in U.S., the U.K, South America and Latin America previously.

Air Raid

Belonging to the same generation as Ambush, Screamer, Enforcer and Robert Pehrsson’s Humbucker, Air Raid are currently hailed as one of the most accomplished protagonists of the new wave of traditional Swedish heavy metal.

The band was formed by guitarist Andreas Johansson in Gothenburg in 2009. After a two-track demo in 2011 and a CD EP called »Danger Ahead«, the band’s debut album »Night Of The Axe« saw the light of day in 2012, followed by two more full-length records for the High Roller label: »Point Of Impact« (2014) and the critically acclaimed »Across The Line« (2017).

“»Across The Line« was very well received world wide,” is how Johansson describes the reactions to the third Air Raid album, which was in 2019 followed by an exclusive 7” single called »Demon's Eye« including two brand new tracks. “The 7” format is not so common anymore, right?,” adds vocalist Fredrik Werner. “I love going to record stores and finding these old singles that often have B-sides that never made the albums. Speaking of »Demon's Eye«, I’d say it was the perfect bridge between »Across The Line« and »Fatal Encounter«.”

As just mentioned, »Fatal Encounter« is the name of Air Raid’s brand new studio album. Since the 7” single »Demon's Eye«, the band changed their drummer and bass player. As a result, »Fatal Encounter« was recorded by Andy Johansson (guitars), Magnus Mild (guitars), Fredrik Werner (vocals), Jan Ekberg (bass) and William Seidl (drums).

“We worked in a couple of different studios in Gothenburg when tracking this album,” explains guitarist Andy Johansson. “This was partially due to Covid but also because we wanted to try out new things. The writing process went very smoothly as Fredrik and I collaborated on most of the songs.”

“We never had any special sound in mind,” continues Andy, “but more a constant flow of ideas that came together nicely. I prefer to let all songs live their own life and not thinking ‘it has to sound like this or that’. I think this mindset makes our music quite unique among other heavy metal bands.”

“We’ve put down a great deal of effort into »Fatal Encounter«, and I have good faith in that it will take us were we need to go”, is how vocalist Fredrik Werner puts it. “Now we’ll let the music do the talking and we’ll see what the future brings. Nothing is impossible!”

Agora

Mexican metal rockers Agora have announced the upcoming release of their latest single 'Empire' via Golden Robot Records. This enticing and hard hitting track is the first for the band under the powerhouse label and comes in the wake of a tour announcement with Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard.

'Empire' is a track intended to empower the listener with a sense of going forward. It is both epic and powerful - the vocal melodies embrace the guitar riffs, thunderous drums beat with pounding bass and hymn like keyboards, somehow finding the perfect balance throughout.

Countless books and magazine articles have been written, painstakingly excavating the lives and careers of everyone from Chuck Berry to Aerosmith, Wanda Jackson to Arcade Fire. But what if there was a band with deep roots whose story had barely been broached?

A band with direct ties to Little Richard, The Kinks, The Mamas & the Papas, The Electric Prunes, The Strawberry Alarm Clock, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Iggy Pop, The Runaways, The Flamin' Groovies, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Steppenwolf, Meat Loaf and Blue Cheer, among others?

Seventh Wonder

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the upcoming release of Swedish progressive metal masters Seventh Wonder's new studio album, "The Testament". This new album follows 2018's "Tiara", which, at the time, was the band's first new music in eight years. While the wait between albums was, mercifully, shorter this time around, the band certainly did not need any extra time to craft a stunning album showcasing their prolific instrumental skills and intricate songwriting. Indeed, "The Testament" is a high watermark in the band's already revered discography.

Seventh Wonder was formed in 2000 by bassist Andreas Blomqvist, guitarist Johan Liefvendahl, and drummer Johnny Sandin after their previous band fell apart. The music they were writing and playing turned towards progressive metal. When keyboardist Andreas “Kyrt” Söderin joined in late 2000, their new sonic explorations were only cemented further. Two demos were recorded (2001 & 2003) and the latter caught the attention of the label Lion Music, who signed the band in 2004. That collaboration spawned the first Seventh Wonder album, ‘Become’, which was released in June 2005. “Become” was well received by progressive metal fans and media alike; however, the band and singer Andi Kravljaca decided to part ways shortly after the recording process had ended. Enter the brilliant Tommy Karevik (Kamelot, ex-Vindictiv), who joined the band in 2005, actually prior to the official release of “Become”.

The next album, ‘Waiting In The Wings’ was recorded in 2006 and mixed and mastered by legendary Tommy Hansen. This album was a huge leap forward in terms of song complexity and maturity and received outstanding reviews and fan accolades, establishing Seventh Wonder as a force to be reckoned with in the progressive metal world. 2007 was spent playing live in support of the album, including sharing stage with legendary bands such as Queensrÿche, Testament, Redemption, and many others in England, Holland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.

Simultaneously in 2007, a follow-up to ‘Waiting In The Wings’ was written. The band hit the studio in May of 2008 to record their third full-length, “Mercy Falls”, which was hailed as a true masterpiece at the time of its release. "Mercy Falls" was supported with several live shows in Europe, including Italy, Norway, Finland, and Holland.

In 2010, the band released “The Great Escape”, which again was met with critical and fan acclaim and cemented the band's standing as one of the premiere progressive metal bands in existence. In support, the band again toured in Europe and also appeared live in the USA at ProgPower Festival.

After "The Great Escape" album release, drummer Johnny Sandin left the band and would later be replaced by the incredibly talented Stefan Norgren (ex-Lion´s Share). Seventh Wonder fans collectively lost their minds in 2018 when it was announced that after an agonizing eight year wait, the band's latest studio album "Tiara" would be released. "Tiara" once again continued the band's winning streak of crafting progressive metal masterpieces and was greeted with high levels of enthusiasm.

Now, in 2022, the band one again returns with another magnum opus of a progressive metal album, "The Testament".

Orochen

Taking their name from an ethnic minority group indigenous to Northern China, Orochen are more than just a band, they are a political collective harnessing the power of music as a means to achieve a just and right end.

Chiefly preoccupied with the way societies and environments across the world are harvested as economic resources, the Gothenburg post-metal quartet have consistently set out to investigate the conflicts of living a modern life, trapped inside a fiercely capitalist system. “The scenario in the song comes from a nightmare where objects and emotions have their own souls and come to life, in a heavily distorted reality. The song portrays the descent deeper and deeper into an internal ocean where guilt and shame take the form of different creatures.”

Since the release of their critically acclaimed Thylacine EP last year, the band locked themselves away during the pandemic spring of 2021 to work on new material for their debut long player, Anthroposcenic.

Officially released this May, Anthroposcenic threatens a return to the dark overtures, tribal post-metal, and dense apocalyptic vistas of their previous releases, and also finds the band joining forces with a team of renowned photographers, artists and collaborators, to help embolden their message further.

"We’re truly honoured that Orochen wants to continue their journey with us,” explains Roger Andersson, co-conspirator and CEO of fellow Gothenburg institution, Su***de Records. “With their last EP they really showed everyone that they are a force to be reckoned with, and a dark one at that.”

Anthroposcenic by Orochen will be released 27th May 2022.

Time for Swedes CAPTAIN BLACK BEARD to start unveiling what will be their next studio album. The first digital single teasing the record is “Flamenco”, and it pays homage to the “disco-AOR” tag that stuck with the band lately.

"When we read reviews of our album "Sonic Forces", the term "Disco AOR" was used to describe our music”, the band comments. ”We hadn't heard this before but kinda liked it and I think this song was written with that in mind. The energy and the pacing of the song make it the perfect album opener, show opener, and of course... the first single”.

Grown out in the melodic era of the 80s, with more than ten years in the music business, the band turned some heads with its last album "Sonic Forces" and a new-found classy, disco-inspired AOR. It was time for Mighty Music to get into play.

At the end of 2021, the Danish heavy rock band TIMECHILD released their debut album "And Yet It Moves", and received top reviews and big praise from all over the world. Now the band is back with their new single "Son & Daughter", where they have dug deep into their inspirations of the past and have reinterpreted this underrated and slightly atypical treasure from Queens first album from 1973.

It is a song that fits perfectly with Timechild's sound universe with a powerful and soaring lead vocal and characteristic twin guitars and vocal harmonies. With this new song in their repertoire, the band is ready for this summer's concerts!

Timechild is massive and organic heavy rock from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band's soundscape is made up of a powerful and present lead vocal, characteristic twin guitars and atmospheric vocal harmonies, which together create their unique Scandinavian expression.

Timechild was formed in 2020 by four seasoned musicians from different corners of Denmark. With extensive past experience in a number of former and existing Danish rock and metal bands, the members had already crossed paths on both Danish and international stages. When the opportunity arose, they decided to unite their musical experiences and visions and created Timechild.

The debut album was written and recorded during the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, which paralysed the Danish and international music industry. However, this silence gave the band time to jointly develop their common sound and expression. The vision from the start was to show how heavy rock can continue to challenge and surprise audiences even in 2021. Although the foundation of the band's sound universe is clearly laid by the rock giants of the past, Timechild's inspiration is drawn from across both time and genres. The opportunity to dive into the music history of past decades, and through this define one's own sound, is one of the greatest privileges that today's musicians have at their disposal. We can learn from the past without being backward-looking or unoriginal and we can be relevant and innovative without having to define a new genre.

This same mindset also applies to Timechild's lyrics. The title of the debut album "And Yet It Moves" is, according to legend, the last phrase uttered by physicist and philosopher Galileo Galilei after the Vatican forced him to recant his scientific belief, that the Earth moves around the sun and not the other way around. It is precisely this human search for the purpose of our own existence and the struggle to elevate ourselves above the laws of nature, that are recurring themes in the album's textual universe.

The record was produced, mixed and mastered by Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes, Jesper Binzer, Thundermother, Marco Mendoza, Artillery). With his vast experience in the genre, both as a producer and musician, Soren was a natural choice when the band's songs were to be immortalised. The result is nine songs that show the band's broad dynamic range. From quiet, dark and melodic passages to over-marching twin guitars and energetic heavy rock.
