I heard this thought on a podcast recently coming from a female wrestler… I know… twins 💁🏼♀️but it stood out to me!
She mentioned that many people do not give it their all because then they will have an excuse in case it fails. “Ah, I could have done that but I didn’t have the time.” “Ah, I definitely could have made it but I didn’t give it my all”.
Having that to fall back on in case what you have is not enough. Because saying “I just didn’t give it my all” is easier than saying “I did do my ultimate best but I just wasn’t good enough”. There is that fear of potential failure.
Idk thought that was interesting 😁 Just reminded me of so many things I half committed to because I wasn’t sure I would make it to my desired outcome.
