"You're not the main character"

Most of the people onboard struggle with this. This is when we feel entitled to our position and situation. Toxic relationships start the moment we feel like people should adjust to our current situation.

Egoistic people are self-centered and seek validation and attention for themselves. They often try to make themselves look more important, even if it means disregarding others.

People might find it hard to work well in groups because they care more about their own goals than the team's goals.

All of us have different experiences with hardships onboard. I believe we should be more considerate of others. Not everyone will always adjust their chairs just to meet your needs.

Seafaring is a complex job where we have our own diverse cultures. We should work professionally and prioritize the company's objectives and overall improvement.

Again, you are not the main character or the center of attention onboard.

Blessed Sunday,

Alam nyo ba na tayong mga marino ay babad sa trabaho? Yung iba sa atin ay walang tigil sa trabaho lalo na sa mga busy ports, at sa mga di inaasahang mga bisita; gaya ng PSC, Provisions, Store Supplies, at mga Authority na nag iinspect ng barko.

Dahil dito, mas kailangan ng tinatawag na "Man Power" pero dahil nga tayo ay tao lamang, hindi tayo si batman o si superman. At the end of the day tayo ay napapagod at na de-drain din.

Ito ang dahilan minsan ng hindi pagkakaintindihan ng mga tao sa barko dahil sa pagod at di na makapag-isip ng mga sasabihin. Mas intense ang emosyon kaysa iniisip. Pero hindi rin naman natin sila masisisi kasi kahit kung sino lang din naman siguro sa position nila.

Sa katunayan, kahit tayo ay limitado lamang bilang tao. May mapagkukunan pa rin tayo ng lakas. At ang lakas na ito ay sa Panginoon. Not to be too much religious pero ito kasi ang katotohanan na dapat malaman ninyong lahat.

Kabaro, alalahanin mo 'to. Balang araw, magiging seaman din ako. Naalala mo? Ito ang pangarap mo mula pa noong ikaw ay bata pa lamang. Sa tuwing nakikita ka ang malalaking barko sa dagat, nararamdaman mo ang pagkakaroon ng pag-asa at pangarap na sumakay at maglayag sa malawak na karagatan.

Naalala mo noon pinagbuti mo ang iyong pag-aaral at nagpursigi sa iyong mga kasanayan upang maabot ang iyong pangarap na maging seaman. Sa bawat araw, nag-aaral ka ng mga bagong kaalaman at kasanayan na magagamit ko sa industriya ng pagbabarko.

Nagsusumikap ka upang makamit ang mga kinakailangang sertipikasyon at lisensya upang maging karapat-dapat sa propesyon na piniling landas.

Sana bawat hagupit ng hangin at alon ng dagat, buo pa rin ang iyong paniniwala na balang araw, mararating mo rin ang iyong pangarap na maging seaman at magsilbing inspirasyon sa iba na mangarap at magtagumpay sa kanilang mga layunin sa buhay.

I want you to know that it's okay to have a tender and damaged soul. I want you to know that its alright to be kind to yourself, that its ok to experience your feelings, and that its ok to allow everything to crumble beneath the weight of your bones.

I want you to understand that it's ok to not feel good even if you aren't sure exactly why you're upset. Be patient as you heal. Even if you can't feel it, it is still happening.

Above all, I hope you realize how deserving you have always been. I hope you allow yourself to be who you truly are.

Don't carry that burden alone. You were not meant to carry that.

Isang hamon para sa mga marino ay ang patuloy na pagkikisama sa iba't ibang tao sa mga barko—mga taong may iba't ibang kultura, relihiyon, pamantayan, at tradisyon.

Ito ay hindi lamang naghahamon sa atin na mag-adjust at magpakita ng respeto sa iba't ibang pinanggalingan kundi nagbibigay din ng pagkakataon para sa pagpapalitan at pag-unawa sa kultura.

Ang pagtanggap sa pagkakaiba-iba ay maaaring magpabunga ng mas magandang karanasan sa dagat at makatulong sa paglikha ng isang mas masaya at maayos na kapaligiran sa barko.
