Words truly cannot describe the feeling.
This is Art Dibble. Art and his family lost everything in the Oregon Road Fire near Elk, Washington, except the flag 🇺🇸 he is holding in this photo. Art, may you and your family recover quickly ❤️
I've seen many questions on other pages with little to no response on them. If you are under orders to evacuate, you should do so. The fires are moving fast and are very unpredictable.
If you are near a evacuation zone and are concerned, get ready to be safe. Be vigilant around your property and neighborhood. These fires are producing embers which could cause a spot fire.
I would not wait to evacuate. You may not get notice ahead of time if an evacuation order comes in your area. Law Enforcement and Fire crews make every attempt to go door to door but they may not have a chance to do so.
update.

Fire activity for Oregon Fire. Also shows a BIG push to the South.
Video from inside Sheriff Office's Rescue 3 yesterday. Shows a lot of homes on fire. https://fb.watch/mwD-PFxkw_/
Looking at the updated heat signatures shows a big run to the South.
I have not seen any photos of Medical Lake but I am expecting the worst. Sounds like Green Gate to Jim Darby to Campbell street have seen a big loss.
Some confusion on the evacuations in Cheney. At one point a level 1 and 2 notice were issued with the level 2 being issued by the college. It was quickly corrected and removed. The shelter that was established had to be moved because of the reported evacuation notice. If there was no evacuation notice issued then why did the Red Cross move the shelter? Spokane EM could have advised them that this was incorrect and issued a statement immediately.
A little perspective. The original call was dispatched at roughly 12:20 with the 1st evacs roughly an hour later and continued evacs nearly every 30 minutes or so. Conditions were changing rapidly along with fire growth.
For those with pets.
Please DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PETS BEHIND! The HEART Team is ready to help with emergency sheltering for several local fire evacuations! For emergency assistance with evacuation of animals, please call 911. The Spokane County Emergency Management SLEET Team is trained and ready to assist!
