The Monica V8 was a French designed luxury sedan fitted with a 285hp Chrysler V8. It was luxurious and very quick, but just 17 were eventually built. SAAB may be no more, but its quirky cars live on in collections all over the world. The first production SAAB 92 was introduced in 1949, and the cars quickly became known for their advanced safety features and smart design solutions. Many of which became incorporated into rival manufacturers' vehicles.

The Morgan 4/4 was produced from 1936 to 2019, an incredible 83 years! It's name referenced the fact that it was the marque's first four-wheeled, four-cylinder model. It was sold in both 2- and 4- seat roadster body styles.

While it saw numerous detail updates and engines over its eight decades of production, the basic 4/4 formula hardly strayed from the original design.

The Ferrari for car enthusiasts on a budget. Alfa Romeo was founded 111 years ago and during this time has produced everything from Ferrari-beating racing cars to the sad little 1980s Arna hatchback, a car co-developed with Nissan that should never have been built.

In-between these two extremes this Italian auto manufacturer has built some beautiful and technically superb road and race cars, sometimes mechanically fragile but never lacking in character. Here we celebrate some of it's most stunning designs from across the decades.

The Dino 206GT marked the beginning of a new era for Ferrari. It was the first V6 Ferrari and the first Ferrari to be built on a production line. It was also not a Ferrari.

The firm decided to use the Dino name instead to separate it from the 'real' V12 Ferraris of the time.

This stunning little car has since been accepted into the Ferrari fold thanks to its timeless design and great driving experience. With handling that was arguably sharper than those heavy front-engined V12s.

Even the Modenese manufacturer now refers to these cars as the Ferrari Dino. And it has just released the Ferrari 296GT, only the second road-going Ferrari ever to be fitted with a V6.
