This is the old stomping grounds of the Manson Family and the Sphan Movie Ranch. Yes we went there to make movies again from the dusty bad lands of the Santa Susana. 😉

I am proud of this production both musical and photographic, I believe that it is a helpful song in these strange times. I know he wrote it in a much simpler time, lol, 6 years ago! It makes perfect sense now.

Autumn

I can feel the leaves falling on my head
The crisp autumn night and cold of darkness
The scent of fire in the air as brisk as it is alarming
My thoughts turn to falling leaves
Do they even know the fate that beholds them?
For it is their brittle nature that knows only descent
Is it a ride we must all take?
Or is merely a dellusion of reality taking it's ugly toll?

I think of all the fallen leaves
Some of those leaves I wish were still green and lovely
There is nothing I can do to make more life
New life isn't fair in this age of declining empire
There is nothing I can do to bring back that which I have lost
I can only proceed as I must

My own reality is that I am just another falling leaf
Can I really complain?
No, I cannot
I am surrounded by the love of good people
For that I am fortunate
I am joyous of the wonderment of fallen leaves
Are we all not filled with the same?
We will soon join them
Our descent will be terrific

So be thankful for the autumn
The fall is the best part of life
It is the understanding of what we are
The appreciation for what we have
The greater purpose that makes us feel human
To appreciate the greater angels of our nature

So I say to you, my good friends, reletives and family of all sorts
You are always on my mind
Take this to bed with you and take good heart
For it is that common purpose, in which we all know, that is everlasting
Our unselfish love is what defines us

So for that I am grateful

Our times are like many
No different and no less deadly
Be assured that we will get through this as always
Though the seawaters are rising and the climate is evolving
Know that even when my leaf is raked,
My spirit will live on most eternal
Always in your heart if you wish such a thing
On this Thanksgiving holiday It is the best gift I can offer
Cherish it always as I cherish yours

For these things do not die.
