Macau, November 17, 2024 – Malaysian motorsport athlete Leona Chin proudly represented women in motorsport as the only female participant in this year’s prestigious Macau Grand Prix. Competing in the Greater Bay Area GT Cup (GT4) behind the wheel of a Porsche Cayman GT4 RS CS, Leona stood out not just for her talent but also for breaking barriers in a male-dominated sport.
Leona drove car #88 on the legendary Guia Circuit, battling fiercely against an international lineup of elite drivers. Despite the technical challenges of the narrow, high-speed circuit, she finished in 15th place, showcasing her resilience and skill.
"This race was an incredible experience, and I’m deeply honoured to be the only female racer competing at this year’s Macau Grand Prix," said Leona Chin. "The Guia Circuit is one of the most challenging tracks I’ve raced on, but driving the Porsche Cayman GT4 here was exhilarating. Every lap pushed me to my limits, and I’m proud to represent women in motorsport on such a global stage."
The Porsche Cayman GT4, known for its exceptional handling and performance, complemented Leona’s precision and determination. Its mid-engine design and advanced aerodynamics provided the reliability needed to tackle the demanding corners and high-speed straights of the iconic circuit.
Leona expressed her gratitude to her team, sponsors, and supporters for making this opportunity possible. She also congratulated the podium finishers for their exceptional performances and emphasized the importance of continually pushing her boundaries as a driver.
