Nawa Recordings is a London based independent record label focused on releasing new alternative music from the Arab world and elsewhere. The label was founded by multi-instrumentalist musician and composer Khyam Allami in 2011 to release his debut album Resonance/Dissonance. e-minded musicians with dynamic work ethics and a drive to constantly evolve and push the boundaries of local idioms and contemporary genres. Inspired by myriad artist-led alternative indie labels, Nawa’s vision is for a consistent and sustainable support to enable wider recognition for artists so that they can immerse themselves in their artistic process with minimal concern over issues of creative integrity, independence and rights. Nawa Recordings also provides music publishing services (through Nawa Publishing) to ensure artists are able to protect their works and receive all royalties relevant to them world-wide.
