My dear kindred
In your Thousands not hundred
Today in my house
About to be stabbed
Dragging with no helper

Teeth pierce to my flesh deeply
Scrawling to survive alone freely

No rescue to beg and so made it badly

Then I picked up my pen

Reviving Nigeria's Educational Renaissance: A Journey Towards Academic Integrity

Nigeria's educational system stands at a crossroads, grappling with an unprecedented decline, particularly within the secondary and primary school levels. The unsettling level of impunity observed in these institutions has led to an erosion of integrity and the proliferation of academic malpractices. A thorough examination of the challenges at hand presents us with a unique opportunity to propose innovative solutions and pave the way for a brighter future for our education system.

At the secondary school level, a disheartening trend has emerged where students can unilaterally decide to write WAEC or NECO exams without adhering to essential academic milestones. In stark contrast, the university system imposes strict prerequisites, mandating students to progress through each level before graduation. The desire to outpace peers and achieve early graduation, often fueled by parental encouragement, has resulted in compromised educational standards.

A pressing need for immediate reforms becomes evident as the credibility of WAEC and NECO results is now overshadowed by the widespread acceptance of exams malpractice. Furthermore, the practice of allowing students to write exams at schools other than their own has created a culture of complacency and disrespect towards educators. This calls for a robust approach to reforming the primary and secondary school system before it descends further into disarray.

To salvage the educational system, the primary and secondary school levels should adopt the progressive practices of universities. Prohibiting students and pupils from sitting for common entrance exams, WAEC, or NECO until they reach the final class will ensure that they have acquired the necessary knowledge and skills for these crucial assessments. Additionally, introducing prerequisite subjects will promote a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum and curb premature exam registrat

MY CATHOLIC FAITH: WHY IS CATHOLIC WORSHIP CALLED MASS?

INTRODUCTION
It is uncommon for a Catholic to go to Church and say "I went for Service", He /She would always say, "I just came back from Mass. What does Mass mean and why do Catholics use the word?

THE WORD MASS
The English word “Mass” comes from the Latin word missa, which means to be “sent.”

WHY IS CATHOLIC WORSHIP CALLED THE MASS?
The Latin word Missa has been used since the 6th or 7th century to describe the Catholic celebration of the Eucharist, our main liturgical service. The word is used during the conclusion of the celebration, when the priest or deacon says in Latin, Ite, missa est.

The literal translation of that phrase is, “Go, it has been sent.” Saint Thomas Aquinas wrote a commentary on these words and explained in his Summa Theologiae, “And from this the Mass derives its name … the deacon on festival days ‘dismisses’ the people at the end of the Mass, by saying: ‘Ite, missa est,’ that is, the victim [Jesus] has been sent to God through the angel, so that it may be accepted by God.”

Pope Benedict XVI also expanded on these words in his encyclical Sacramentum Caritatis, but focused on a different spiritual meaning behind the phrase. He wrote, “In antiquity, missa simply meant ‘dismissal.’

However in Christian usage it gradually took on a deeper meaning. The word ‘dismissal’ has come to imply a ‘mission.’ These few words succinctly express the missionary nature of the Church. The People of God might be helped to understand more clearly this essential dimension of the Church’s life, taking the dismissal as a starting- point.”

Instead of seeing the words of the priest or deacon as a conclusion to the celebration, Pope Benedict saw them as a beginning. He made that abundantly clear when he developed new words for the dismissal at Mass. 1. TYPHOID FEVER
Get unripe pawpaw, unripe
pineapple, ginger, lime orange and Lipton tea. Cut into pieces, boil with fermented corn water for one hour. Take one glass cup 3 times daily for one week. The ailment will disappear.

2. STOMACH ULCER
Get 7-8 unripe plantain, peel them, cut them to pieces and pound. Put everything inside a plastic container, fill it with one gallon of water. Allow it to ferment for three days. Take one cup 2 times a day for one week. The ailment will disappear.

3. ASTHMA
Get some seeds of mango, cut it into pieces and keep under the sun to dry. Grind to powder. Put one spoon of
