So I am not going to worlds this year. I had a spot..but life gets in the way and frankly the way they are running things didn't have me wanting to commit to flights, hotel etc....for a possible debacle. My zest for competitive Armada has taken a hit since AMG has taken over with their lackluster support for the game and for organized play. I'm sure I am not the only one. With no true community hub since the forum died I don't feel connected anymore....yes discord exists but it isn't a good tool for capturing information for someone that can't and doesn't want to just sit on it all day.
Maybe if we ever get new releases again....or even some community participation from the current Devs my interest will be rekindled. Frankly after seeing how they implemented changes to Xwing and Legion in such an unorganized way, didn't build faith in their ability to actually run a game system well.
So after they have redone X-Wing. And now Legion. Will armada be the next to be redone?
I personally hope not. We only need living points document.
Played an afternoon of the Summna of All things. Definitely some tweaks needed to make it less gamey....or maybe an interdictor with grav shift and well and prox mines are too strong for the scenario...
But overall a fun afternoon.

So last night I did a live stream test of a TTS game. See the results here. Pretty good match although I had never really worked TTS before so it was a learning experience for me as well.
Well NOVA is over over for me. Missed cut by Mov. Almost had someone drop. My last opponent from my heat ironically. But he decided to come after all. Had a great time out drinking with some of the players that are playing today. Ha.
Skycake is playing who I travelled with. As is rasproteus and truthiness and gilead pallaeon and Pt109 that I know from previous tournaments. Good luck to everyone.

So this is interesting....at least something. I love Vader defender, goz for CIS, Sphat's on a Vic 1 for Clones, But the providence carrier is weird.
They have already updated and made some ships unique and changed Vader.

Well. Myself and skycake went 10-1 10-1 to win the team tournament for Canada. Next highest was 5 points behind us. And yesterday Ryan Kubryn won the side event. So Canada swept all three events.
Congrats to Mackenzie Dalla Lana for winning Adepticon Using agate gallant haven and yavaris.
Skycake got 6th. With CIS.

• Star Wars: Legion 2022 World Open Qualifier
• Star Wars: X-Wing 2022 World Open Qualifier
• Star Wars: Armada 2022 World Open Qualifier
These events will be the first chance for players who have been unable to attend events since 2019 to qualify and participate in the World Championships to be held in late 2022. They will join the existing pool of players who already hold invites for the World Championships from 2019 and early 2020 events. LVO update, so day 1 I went 3 and 1 with a 10, 4, 9,6 for 29 points and was in a 6 way tie for 4th sitting in 6th for MOV. Rough exhausting day, great players, interesting lists to face. Not very squadron heavy. Good to put faces to names like Raspruten, Brobafett and Sam Simon. Ewok was there as well and Mark popped in although he was a traitor playing legion. Mat Bronson was there as well (another legion traitor.)
Special Thanks to Karneck for running this even with virtually no support from the Con or AMG it appeared. But run very well and streamed some games on his channel.
So day 2 just finished 1st round. And had one of the most stressful interesting games against Brobafett and his version of SLonager with Onager quasar, corvus and 8 sqns. I lost my first onager due to a 50/50 shot from Tel truvera, after I had finished off his quasar. Then lost my second Onager, duking it out with his Onager and double ramming each other. (killed myself by force due to Rift Ambush.) Then it came down to Demo whiffing and not getting an APT to finish off his onager who was on 3 hull. Then demo died....would have probably been a 6-5 loss if I had got it but instead a 10-1 loss.
Got the bye for the second round so I am right back in it with an 8 for a total of 9. Third round if I can win should put me back in top 8. We shall see.
FYI I was running screed , Double onager with intel and sensor teams, demo lite and 2 comm nets goz. 393. Played first every game. Given it to me twice.
Edit: So ended in 13th. Last prize spot. Ha. So much fun. Well worth the trip. I figured no sqns would be rough. As except for the winner all top lists had some. Went out for drinks and food with a bunch of the guys.
Again alll kudos to karneck. I think he’s running adepticon as well. So come out. I’ll prob be there.
