And just like that, the fourth trimester has come to an end. 🤯 12 weeks of loving on & learning about this cutie. 12 weeks of figuring out motherhood (well, starting to). 12 weeks of snuggles & smiles, mixed with a healthy dose of crying, sleepless nights, & all the bodily fluids 🤣🍼💩💦
Thankful to have had this time on maternity leave 🙏🏻🥰 Lots of feels as I head back to work today. 🙇🏻♀️

We welcomed our little girl to the world on Friday, August 11th at 6:05pm. 💓
After over 24 hours of induced labor & 3 partially-failed epidurals (so I felt every contraction 😅), Ezri Lynn made quite the debut with only about 30 minutes of pushing. 💪🏻
It was all so, so worth it & we are over the moon in love. Everything has changed 🫶🏻 We love you, sunshine girl. ☀️🌻🌞

So incredibly relieved after last week’s initial meeting with our new Cardio-Obstetrics team at Tampa General/USF Health. I had an echo done the week prior and so far things are still looking good as far as my heart function goes. The next 4-6 weeks will be the true test though. I get another echo in a month, so we’ll see! 🫀 Baby has continued to do well & is growing well (even a little ahead). 🙏 And if all goes according to plan, we’ll get induced at 39 weeks and deliver in Tampa. I’ll be monitored throughout the entire delivery & for 72 hours post-delivery as that is a high-risk timeframe due to fluid changes, etc. Also just can’t believe that we’re now at 32 weeks which means no more than 7 weeks to go! 🤯😳 Still lots to do to get ready but we’re in full prep/get ready mode now haha. We can’t wait to meet our baby girl! 💝

it’s friday, time to shake it off 💃
2018 Highlights
2018 was a year, that’s for sure. Not the best year (2017 was hard to top!) but certainly not a bad year either! 🙏🏼 It was our first full year in Florida + my first full year as a remote worker, I got to do a little traveling, I dealt with some health issues, and we got to spend a lot of time with our family! Here are some of the highlights (plus the video): – Beach & pool days, Florida sunsets, exploring & getting settled as Floridians, trying new restaurants & attractions, etc. – Celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary! 💍 – More haircuts than I wish I’d had… 😂😂 && then trying to re-grow my hair. – Mike bought an electric car! – I went to Key West for the first time & had a blast. – I had not one, but two surgeries for my defibrillator… and I also had an emergency room visit. – I got to go to Ohio and then Michigan & see 2 of my high school besties, got to meet my niece Norah!! 👶🏻 – We did a 5K with Tegan and some friends & got interviewed for a local podcast. – I traveled to Raleigh to visit my coworkers & for our annual conference. Also went to Naples for a work conference! – We did some small house projects & I rearranged/redecorated my office… 3 times. – We traveled to PA for Mike’s best friend’s wedding. – I continued working on my health & fitness: tried some new workouts, tried meditation, tried giving up sugar and alcohol, worked on eating healthier, bought a Peloton bike, and cut back on meat. – I worked on myself more: tried meditating, gave up social media for a month, read more books, and also participated in the #last90days challenge, to name a few. Now that 2018 has come to an end, I am looking forward to an even better 2019. This year, Mike & I are both transitioning into new roles at our current companies (exciting!!), we have plans to explore FL & travel more, and spend less money on things we don’t need and put that towards experiences instead. We also want to spend more time with friends & family, work on our house, and continue getting he

Just finished the #GirlWashYourFace audiobook by @msrachelhollis and y’all... this last part gave me CHILLS. This book was so good, so real and honest and vulnerable. I highly recommend picking up the audiobook version, I loved listening to Rachel and hearing her wisdom from her own voice. I know without a doubt this book will be on my re-read list over and over again.
