India's first water metro Kochi Water Metro starts service on two more routes. New Routes will be inaugurated by Kerala CM tomorrow (14/03/2024) ❣️

4 more terminals will be opened.
Mulavukad North, South Chittoor,
Elur, Cheranellur

2 more routes will be launched
Root one. From High Court Junction Terminal via Bolgatti and Mulavukad North Terminals to South Chittoor Terminal

Route Two : From South Chittoor Terminal via Elur Terminal to Cheranellur Terminal

With this, Kochi Water Metro will grow to 5 routes in 9 terminals.

State's first crane manufacturing plant started today at Thrissur Mathilakam.

A startup company "Leavage Engineering" initiated their operations at an outlay of 3 Billion INR in 12 acres of land. They join hands with internationally renowned construction giant "Sea Shore Group" for technical assistance.

Truck cranes will be marketed under the brand name "Sato". There will be many employment opportunities in the manufacturing unit.

Another major international undersea cable to have its landing at Kochi ❤️🔥🔥💞

The MoU for 11,000 km long ICE-IV Submarine cable system connecting Singapore and Indonesia in the East to Egypt and UAE in the West was signed recently. It will have it's landing point in Kochi, with a branch to Chennai in discussions.

Kochi is already only one among three Indian cities to be the landing point of more than one international undersea cable network. Not to forget the undersea cable network from Kochi to Lakshwadeep which was inaugurated only a month ago.

The Ro Ro jetty area currently has open spaces alongside the carriage way that remain underutilized because of a lack of defined purpose, proper access, and adequate maintenance. Through careful planning, these spaces have been reconceptualized as collaborative and serene locations, functioning as both recreational hubs and an inviting entrance to Fort Kochi by CSML.

New PWD Rest House in Nedumangad, Thiruvananthapuram will start accepting booking from February 9.

Since online booking started for general public on November 1, 2021, about 3 lakh people have used the PWD Rest Houses so far and about 13 crores of income was generated.
