The idea for 2:32am popped into my mind all the way back in late 2019, so it's exciting to see how far the film has travelled both creatively and geographically since that initial idea!

I'm grateful to receive another film festival selection, this time all the way from Arizona in the US! (Mesa International Film Festival)

Back in 2019, I stumbled upon the music of This New Light (aka Sam Ayling 😉).

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of having him create music for one of my films, I’ve gotten to tour with him and even meet some of our musical heroes along the way (Hollow Coves was a highlight!)

More recently, I got to sing in a choir for two of his songs and it’s been amazing to see him continue to make great music and perform live!

His latest song “Turning Keys” drops tomorrow, and his tour is coming up very soon! Love this guy and his music. 😊

Just saw Sound of Freedom. Everyone should watch this film. Regardless of where you stand politically or religiously, the message of this film is something we can and should all rally behind.

But even more than confronting a necessary and pressing issue, Sound of Freedom is a terrific piece of filmmaking.

It balances darkness with light, it’s use of visual composition is poetic, the music is beautiful and haunting, and the child performances are some of the best of any film.

As a Christian and a filmmaker, this film was incredibly inspiring for me. I believe that films can have powerful ideas AND be great pieces of art at the same time.

I believe there is a movement that’s happening, where creative artists with new ways of telling stories are going to transform culture. And I’m incredibly passionate about being part of this.

Long story short, check out this movie and I’m exited to see more great art explore powerful ideas. ❤️
