I did a quick little interview today about what I do and let me just tell you it’s so much more than podcasting. I really help you create a sustainable marketing system for your business.
So that means that adding a podcast to your marketing should ADD to your business and not subtract (feel like too much or take too much time)

Ready to get the ball rolling on your podcast but not sure where to start?
First let’s review why you should want to get your podcast started if you still not convinced:
1. Credibility and Authority. Wanna build your brand and your name? Adding this platform not only helps you connect with your ideal clients but also helps build your brand and helps you get more visible.

Let’s talk about being comfortable in your own body WHEN OTHERS ARE NOT.
Listen. I’ve seen the looks. The “please cover up” the uncomfortable looks from people around me who look at my body and think it’s bigger than they would like for themselves.
So because they aren’t comfortable with themselves they judge me. Because Im “fat”. Or fatter than they are comfortable.
I’m GOOD. I love what I look like. I’m good in my skin. I’ll rock a two piece all day everyday. I’ll love and appreciate my body even when it bulges and doesn’t look like what you may think it should look like.
Don’t project your body shame on me. I’m good. Go deal with yourself boo 😘😘😘

These social media streets will continue to be WILD AF
and people will continue to have to chase the algorithm over and over.
New platforms will pop up, some will stop being as effective… and round and round the loop we will all continue to go.
Feels kinda scary to stake your entire marketing strategy in that right?
I mean maybe not scary but it sure TF can be tiring.
This is why I’m all about integrating a podcast into your marketing strategy.
Notice I didn’t say s**t about “launching” a podcast. I SAID 🗣
INTEGRATING A PODCAST INTO YOUR MARKETING STRATEGY.
Some of y’all get it.
I know you see people launching podcasts every damn day. Bc it’s popular. I guess. 🤷🏽♀️
But you also see those same people dying off fairly quickly. Or getting burnt out.
That’s bc they haven’t taken the time to set up their podcast as a part of a bigger marketing strategy that actual works on an evergreen basis to bring in new leads, nurture them, and sell to them.
Whew 😅 I have a lot to say about this.

Really just wanna acknowledge the collective grief we are all feeling. And what I am doing about it to sit with all the emotions.
1. Sit with it. Not try to move past it. It’s okay to feel to grieve to be angry, to feel hopeless.
2. Protect my energy and heart. This means choosing to take some time away from scrolling, the news, getting sucked into reading stories. It’s truly traumatic, and you don’t have to continue to read stories and keep up to date with the news to acknowledge what is happening
3. Take action. Get educated about what is going on with our leaders in this country, and do what I can do. Together we can make waves.
4. Check on others and hold space. Are you okay? Do you need a place to vent? Cry? Express frustration? You can do that here.
I love this space and all of you in it. Take care of yourselves. This world is a hard and cruel place. But we can be there for one another and move with grace and compassion. We need each other.

I know I talk a lot about podcast launches and what having a podcast can do for your business, but honeslty there is ALOT more to it.
If you build it, they won't just come. And although there are ways that you should launch a podcast that will set you up for more success, I really love to be able to GO DEEPER with my ongoing clients to figure out how to best dirve traffic and create the results they are wanting with their podcast.
When people don't see the results, they want to quit. It's easy to look at it and say it's not working.
That's why it is important to have a great strategy in place around how you are going to grow your podcast. Saying podcasting is the long game and then just waiting around for it to "pick up steam" is not a growth strategy.

I used to think Investing was “scary”and “too hard” and I decided that “one day” I would learn it. But I kept putting it off. There was no urgency for me.
Until one day I heard someone say “every day you don’t invest you are LOSING MONEY 💰
HELLO!!!!
A bitch do not play behind her coin. But I had never thought of it that way. It’s true, Bc of inflation if you are saving and not investing you are losing money each day.
I feel like the same is happening with so many people when it comes to create a podcast.
It’s easy to keep pushing it back and waiting until… until one day you get sick 😷 and you can’t show up to create content- or do anything for that matter.
And you realize… if the content machine ain’t running (you), then s**t doesn’t happen in your biz.
😱😱😱😱😱
So I’m here to tell you that everyday you wait to launch your pod, you are losing money. You are losing the opportunity to create sales and an audience on autopilot.
You are losing the opportunity to nurture your audience deeper and have leads ready to buy.
You are dragging ass on content that will work for you even when you are not working.
That’s seems urgent to me. Especially coming out of being sick and unable to work for weeks and still having content out there working for me… leads being nurturing, sales being made.

Can we all just stop acting like all hope is lost when one thing doesn’t go right in our business?
Going “all in” on your business doesn’t mean do or die. It means do and then do some more and then screw up and then keep doing and then win and then have a client ask for their money back and then do and then sell out your launch and then do and do and then hire the wrong person and then have to fire the wrong person and then feel defeated and then do and do…
Get it?
Stop putting so much pressure on every decision or every move.
Make decisions faster. Stop agonizing over every single thing.
It’s all growth. All part of the journey

Building a business reminds me of raising a child.
There are hard things at each stage, but there are also beautiful things at each stage that I want to remember, learn from and cherish forever.
This is one of the most beautiful journeys you can embark on in life. Betting on you, staying the course, failing, flailing, succeeding, the highs the lows…
Remember that your biz only gets to be at whatever stage you are at once. Just embrace it, do whatever you can to enjoy it NOW.
There are literally NO destinations. Just the journey. Make sure you enjoy and honor it, right where you are.

Having lots of chats with folks this week about podcasting and I want to share a few thoughts abo it things I see coming up for people . 1. TIME. Yes it does take time. You do have to invest more time to get this off the ground. BUT this is why it’s so important to have a really strategic plan around how you are going to produce and launch your show. . If you are all over the place- then you are going to feel like it takes more time, and you will waste time. Go into it with a strategic plan, . 2. NO RULES. You get to throw away the rules. Don’t wanna record and upload every week? Ok, don’t. Don’t wanna do a fancy intro with music? Ok, don’t. . Part of my job is giving out daily permission slips to do whatever tf you want to do. .
