We're thrilled to announce that Jane Goodall - Reasons for Hope has been honored with the 2024 Canadian Screen Awards for Sustainable Production!

We're honored to be recognized for our commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and innovating in sustainable practices. With the support of our team and partners like Science North and Rivian, we achieved a remarkable reduction in our carbon footprint, from a projected 261.56 tonnes to just 100.46 tonnes! Additional Carbon Offset was purchased to make the production a net zero carbon footprint.

Thank you to everyone involved for their dedication and hard work to lead the way in sustainable filmmaking and making a meaningful impact on our planet! 🌎

Exciting news!

Cosmic Picture and Science North proudly announce that Jane Goodall-Reasons for Hope has won the Special Jury Award Winner for Innovation in Green Production Award at the Jackson Wild 2023 Media Awards!

The film was recognized by the Jackson Wild Jury for implementation of sustainable best practices to reduce the environmental impact through the entire lifecycle of a production.

Cosmic Picture Distribution has been awarded a $3 million grant by the National Science Foundation (NSF) for its upcoming project, “EINSTEIN’S INCREDIBLE UNIVERSE,” a major media and outreach program designed to catalyze interest in space science and spark scientific curiosity in learners worldwide.

The centerpiece of the project is a film for giant screen and IMAX® theaters that will celebrate the groundbreaking work of Albert Einstein, the curiosity that drove him to explore space and time, and the scientific creativity that led to his most revolutionary ideas.
