Am I sure I"m not in NYC seeing a Broadway performance? "The Last 5 Years" is SO amazing! To start with, the "script" - really a libretto - is as well crafted as any classical opera, and as demanding. The performances by Ian and Molly could have been taking place at The Met. The direction and set were perfect, and to think Ian has done all that plus producing, directing, and organizing the Broadway in the Boundary Waters theater program, working with the youth theater summer workshops, and managing NLAA all at the same time! He even takes tickets. Does he ever sleep?! Ely is so fortunate to have this talent. We could have to drive or fly someplace and pay 10x the ticket prices for this quality theater, but here it is in our little town. Please support it - donate and go to performances. Tickets are still available for tonight at 7 and tomorrow at 2.
