Each song is a testament to the talent our artists posses. We extend our deepest gratitude to all the amazing artists who have collaborated with us over the years. You have been instrumental in shaping the sound of Revolt Records.

As we look back on these past 12 years, we're filled with excitement for what lies ahead. This compilation is not only a celebration of our past but also a glimpse into our future as we continue to evolve.

Our newest EP features four tracks in total, comprised of an original containing an elegant journey that explores the beautiful 3.000 year old instrument “duduk” by Dj-producer Voytech (Atlanta) and remixes from PressStartButton (Buenos Aires) and Jovoj (Byblos).

Our upcoming release Duduk Jivan comes by way of Atlanta from one of the first members of our label Voytech. We got a chance to ask him a few questions

REVOLT: As once the iconic Danny Tenaglia put in one of his songs “music is the answer” is music the answer for you?
VOYTECH: Since I remember it’s been an answer to the longing that I have within me. I’ve always gravitated toward music whether it’s searching for new music, DJing, producing, or enjoying good music in the club it has and always will have a special place in my life.

REVOLT: Can you tell us a little bit about your upcoming release Duduk Jivan? How did you make it? What was the process? What type of gear did you use?
VOYTECH: Since I love the organic sounds and folkloric instruments the idea was to make a Downtempo track that combines modern sounds with folkloric instruments. The track started with a kick, percussion, and the bassline which is the most common start to all of my tracks. Most of the percussion comes from my Roland TR-8S drum machine, the bassline was from Moog Subsequent 37 and melodies came from Prophet 6 and Access Virus synths. Once I had the solid foundation fitted with percussion and some background synth melodies then I knew I wanted to incorporate the flute instrument as a main course of this track. Since I don’t own nor I can play any of those instruments at the moment I often use VSTs for string or wind instruments but in this case, I came across the sample pack of cinematic flutes from the sound series by Gio Israel which I really enjoyed. This particular was a series of flute riffs played by one of the most famous Duduk players, Jivan Gasparyan Jr and that’s where the part of the name of this track comes from. I put a few of the flute samples together and when I listened to this together with my track I knew I had a missing piece.

REVOLT: What is your favorite piece of gear currently?
VOYTECH: My newest addition to my analog gear is Sequential Prophet 6 and would be my favorite at the moment since it's my first poly analog synth but every piece of hardware I have is somewhat different from another therefore I love all of them as they are different tools for different jobs.

REVOLT: What is your favorite VST of all time?
VOYTECH: There are tons of VST’s out there and my VST collection isn’t that large if we are talking about Synth VST it would be Nexus2. It’s a synth that I always come back to. Very friendly to use and It has a great ability to layer the sounds I love the way you can program and save arpeggiator sequences. As far as sound processing VST it will be a Fabfilter bundle.

REVOLT: Can you share one secret you love using when producing your tracks?
VOYTECH: I don’t really have any secrets but there are a couple of things I always do. One thing I never look for sweeps or buildup sounds but create them from scratch from the sounds I already have in my session by recording the tails with a long decay reverb and reversing the sample the second thing I found is playing with the starting marker of your samples can bring sometimes unexpected yet great sound fitting results

REVOLT: Can you share a technique that you love using when mixing your productions?
VOYTECH: When it comes to sound engineering learning is a never-ending process and I always discover new techniques that are helping me with mixing but there are a few fundamentals that made my mixing much more effective and efficient which are gain staging, grouping my channels into busses, and mixing in mono.

REVOLT: If you could give a word of advice to young upcoming producers today, what would it be?
VOYTECH: My advice is to always make music that resonates with you and not necessarily what is fashionable at the moment.

REVOLT: What is the one thing you love most about Revolt Records?
VOYTECH: Besides the great music of course the fact that I've been part of it almost since its inception when we were more of an event production group and later on it became a record label so I have a lot of great memories associated with it and the label gave me the platform and the opportunity to grow and to work with many amazing people that are very passionate about music like myself and some of them are like a family now.

We are happy to announce an upcoming release Duduk Jivan from long time Revolt resident Voytech. This downtempo record is filled with organic melodies from the duduk instrument and modern synth sounds that create an interesting fusion of modern and folkloric feel. The original is complemented by a few remixes. PressStartButton delivers a more chill and dreamy interpretation. Jovoj created two versions of the original. Ethereal Remix brings a dark feel whereas Tranquil Remix is a more energetic and evolving version.

Our latest release this year titled Dimension Jump comes about as a collaboration between Improvidra, a seasoned producer and Tim Wals who is making his debut. The original has a groovy and hypnotic feel that will work wonders on any set. The EP is complemented with a couple of remixes. The Vanlo remix take on a harder, club banger approach while the Tripodal interpretation takes it to a deep analog melodic journey.
