Madre y Niño, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes in rural Guatemala, is now accepting volunteer applications for its upcoming mission trip to the Petén region, specifically Laguna del Tigre, a remote rainforest bordering Mexico. The life-saving trip will take place from Sunday, March 9, through Saturday, March 15. The deadline to apply is Feb. 9.

The Bandera boys basketball team lost a hard fought game in Fredericksburg Tuesday night, falling to the Billies in a 56-49 finish. ​The Bulldogs, who are 19-10 now this season, need a win in at least two of their final four games to have a chance at competing for a fourth-straight trip to the postseason. Bandera has four games remaining in the regular season, with district front-runner Wimberley up next Friday.

I also assume that through some mechanism, like a traffic study by TxDOT or the city, vehicular and pedestrian issues and needs were identified, and the delineators were placed to address these issues and needs.

At the University of Texas he was a star player under Uncle Billy Disch, leading the Longhorns to three conference championships before signing with the Chicago White Sox in 1920.
