After finishing 7-4 with a second consecutive district championship, the Bandera football program was well-represented at the District 14-4A Division II All-District meeting. Senior defensive end and left tackle Gavin Spruell, who anchored the Bulldogs’ defense and set the tone up front offensively, was named District MVP.

The Bandera boys basketball team improved to 4-0 on the season with a pair of double-digit wins over New Braunfels Long Creek and Hondo last week, continuing to build momentum heading into Thanksgiving Break and tournament season.
The Bulldogs will be back in action this week on Wednesday at the Frost Bank Center against San Antonio Kennedy.

After defeating Hondo Tuesday and losing star point guard Gabby Barrera to an ankle injury, the Bulldogs regrouped and marched to a 4-1 record at the Poteet Tournament to bring home a first place trophy entering the Thanksgiving Break.
Bandera will be back in action today at 4:30 p.m. at the Frost Bank Center against Llano before heading to Thanksgiving Break.

I often think about all the school friends I had over the years when I was as a kid. Some moved away when we were still in school, and later I lost track of many after our high school graduation. Looking back there were some I wish I would have gotten to know a little better.
