The world will hate us because we are not of the world. The toughest truth in this, for me, is that we are commanded to love. I believe that John is speaking of the spiritual world here where lucifer tempts us to give into our selfish desires. Jesus says in Matthew 16:24 “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.". It's easier said than done to love, not the world but the vessel, the human that Lucifer is using to try to break you down or get you to allow anger into your heart. It's more than our human world, it's spiritual warfare. We are but spirits experiencing life through our human bodies and one day we'll take the gift bestowed and leave this vessel. Please join me in praying that we all spread the love of Jesus so that others may see Him through us.
