About: Josh Avery ‐ A Touch Above Music
I am currently working on my own 1st album, of various genres, among
a variety of other artistic projects. I was successful in obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Criminology, a Certificate in Forensic Science and a Minor in Media Arts. I also have experience in Photography/Video/Journalism, Wildlife Biology, Native American Studies among many other fields. I aim to obtain employment as a Wild Life/Land Law Enforcement Agent. I have also been fighting Wildland Fire for 5 years, while continuing my entertainment endeavor. I am looking forward to seeing where all of this takes me, while living my life to the fullest I can. Originally from Arizona, I have lived in Oregon and Montana, among many other states. I was born in Arizona on December 20, 1981. I am upper Klamath River Karuk and Rogue River Applegate Shasta Native of Northern California and Southern Oregon. I am enrolled at what is known as the Confederated Tribes of Siletz people of Oregon. I am also Irish‐American, Norwegian, German, English, Poarch Creek Alabama ‐ Creek Native, Algonquin Native and Pennsylvanian Dutch. I am influenced by many forms of music and culture and appreciate the good in life. I learn from everything to do the best I can to live a balanced life. I embrace the good aspects of everything I am and which I encounter in life. I wish to create and appreciate beautiful things, places, and people. I love to travel. I worked my way through College as a Sound & Stage Technician, in addition to Security & Event Staff, along with any other entertainment related needs for a variety of venues, events and organizations, in addition to my own venues. I also have knowledge & Training in various other fields such as "Back‐Country" Emergency Medical Response and Various forms of Self Defense. I am a lyricist/Singer/Songwriter in addition to the Creator of A Touch Above Music, Native American Flute player, Northern Traditional Pow‐wow Dancer & Singer, Writer, Media Artist and Human being. I do all of this for its power & beauty in myself, and for all of life to enjoy around me. Most importantly, to express myself and contribute the best I have to offer, to all of life in its beauty. Is comprised of collaborations with many talented artists. Josh Avery ‐ "Fluent" is a performer of many genres and created the label on September 18, 2008. I express myself on solos and collaborations with a wide variety of artists, and styles from Rock, Soul, Blues, R&B, Hip‐Hop, Rap, Instrumental, Native American Music, among many others, as well as Media Arts, Entertainment Management, Educational Programs as well as various other projects. Since founding A.T.A.M. I have continued to expand my artistic passions on my own, along with pioneering new horizons with a wide variety of artist of many genres, appealing to a wider audience.
